i remember last year, people who did pre-order and mailed in their trade-in's were having issues with getting trade-in credit to show on their account, even after 2-3 months. Think i'm gonna go with trade-in at store again for this year.

Question for you trade-in gurus: if I buy a phone on either the $30 or $40 line, then a day later click the Shop Devices link (since it says Eligible for Upgrade), then get another phone on that line. Will both phones be eligible for unlocking after 60 days (well a little bit more on that 2nd phone, but you know what I mean)? i.e. since the 1st phone isn't really active on the network for the entire 60 days (as the 2nd phone is taking over the line), will that first line be eligible for unlocking simply because it's activated at one point? I've always buy a new line for each purchase, but that's at least 2 x $20 for each phone in order to get them unlocked. I'm wondering if I could've saved those $40 all these years. TIA!
I personally have had success doing this in previous years and it seems most people have also but scrolling through comments it seems like some people have reported issues. This year I only did one phone but in previous years I got more than one (only one at a time and activated each one) and then after the 60 days contacted them providing them with the IMEI of the one that I wanted to unlock. I think the main thing that is important is keeping the line that they are activated on as active, I suspect some potential issues are related to people juggling multiple lines and deactivating lines before the 60 days.

My device was delivered to Assurant on April 9th. I recieved my Assurant approval this morning April 21st. Hope this helps someone who is waiting for updates after online trade in.
Dang, how is it taking them twice as long now at the end of the promotion versus when the phone first launched. Normally it is the other way around.

For me, I did everything online because all the local in-store employees are so stubborn. My 4 purchase dates are 3/15, 4/19, 4/19, 4/20.The 4/19 devices are getting delivered today.
For the first order, Did you receive trade in credit to credit card or it will be stuck in account ?

After thinking numerous times whether I should go ahead and order online, just when I made up my mind to place order, I am being nervous after knowing Spectrum need another level of review to refund the $700 promo. Today is the last day of the promo,I'm still not sure whether I should go ahead or not.

Took about a month to show up as negative balance in my account. Had to call spectrum 2 days after to manually put it in my credit card and they did it within 3 days.

This is paid in full option btw. Unsure of the financing option if its like this also.

Here are what email you will receive after you submit the order and assuming your trade-in is successful:
1) The 1st email from Spectrum with title "We've Received Your Mobile Order" will Not have $700 promotion info.
2) The 2nd email from Spectrum with title "Mobile Order Details" will have $700 promotion information.
3) The 3rd email from Spectrum Trade-In with title "We're ready to receive your device for Trade-In" will also have $700 promotion information.
4) 4th email from Spectrum Trade-In with title "We've received your device" will tell that you will get $700 promotion credit soon.
How much later after your order did you receive the trade information email?

Here is what I would do. I would order online with moto g phones trade in and keep the phone sealed for upto the 14 day return period hoping that you get the trade in evaluation within the return period. Just my two cents. Worst case you will lose the cost of the moto g phones. I am not sure how long do you have to send the return in after initiating it online.

Once the order is confirmed you will get the trade in email within a few hours. My last order was in the morning 8 AM or so and I sent the tradein the same evening - given the order is confirmed.

Did your order confirmation e-mail titled "Mobile Order Details" show the full amount with the $700 promotion? I completed check out using IMEI2 and the final order screen showed the $700 credit but the e-mail after credit card processed shows "Total trade-in/promotional credits" without the $700.

Seems like it doesn't work so I am going to cancel the order.
Yes, everywhere shows the $700 promotion at the time I placed the order. If it doesn't show up, then it's not there.

In my case, I have already trade one Moto G and one Samsung A16 for S26 and S26+ respectively on two lines. Now, I want to upgrade one of my lines and trade in S26 for S26U. Since S26 itself is an expensive phone, I am not sure if I should take a risk. d

I would go with the general consensus here - this year trade in S26 for S26U is not likely to be fruitful.

So I just got back from the store and purchased two more phones. Is everybody that's doing this in store getting charged a lot in sales tax? For example my subtotal was $200 but my taxes were about $52 The only way that this makes sense is if you calculate it at the full price of the phone of $1,300 - the $700 trade-in credit. Is this normal?

On the first one that I got it took some time but I was able to call in and have them issue me a $30 service credit I tried that again but they said that they were unable to do so.

Lastly the third line that I got I don't necessarily plan to keep for myself so after 60 days I assume it can be unlocked it's activated they did so in the store is it okay to just leave it turned off in the box for the entire 60 days?

Makes sense.... I should have focused on trading MotoG to trade in and upgrade the same line. Since I don't have any eligible phone to trade in, it is too late now. I can still order a Samsung A16 from Amazon but I don't have IMEI to place order on Spectrum
