Yes but cheaper to just trade 2 of them to Apple Store and get Unlocked 17e 256GB $599 MSRP with the $620 gift cards. Then still have 3 months of service to use at cricket you can activate it on unlocked 17e

When did you go?As of Saturday, Cricket started being more restrictive of port-in numbers they'll accept. That's probably why people are seeing full price in-store, not quantity limits. (See "iPhone 16e fraud" thread in r/CricketWireless)The promo didn't apply for my unlimited Fi lines. It would be crazy if Lyca still worked.
Lyca still works, and there were no problems for me and at that particular store. Maybe I got lucky with a great employee and/or store policy.

I first went to the Cricket store 2 days ago, on Sunday, and got 16e as my 5th line for a total of $80 {including tax on full msrp, $30 discounted plan and waived activation), using Lyca port in which took about 5 minutes.

I went back yesterday to the same store for another 16e as my 6th line, but this time I paid a total of $110 (no plan discount after 5th line), waived activation, and Lyca port in was almost instantly completed. In and out in less than 10 minutes (got there close to closing time). No forced upsells, just politely asked if I wanted insurance which I declined politely).

The plan today is to first visit Apple store to trade 2 new 16e and get a 17 pro. Then to GameStop for my 3rd $0 16e ( from few weeks back)and any additional possible 16e failed at apple store, for cash trade. I'm also signing up for GameStop pro using a coupon for $20 plan. That'll get me an extra 10% on the trade value.

Today I traded in one of my two new 16e at apple store, got a full $310, used that plus 3 gift cards from 3 previous trades (one 16e, and two 13s) and got myself a new 17 in silver. I'll bes testing 17 for a few days, and if I do not like it I'll go back to exchange with 17 pro. I still have my last 16e from yesterday, and will be trading that as well during next store visit I felt weird bringing out 2 brand new 16es to trade on top of using multiple gift cards from previous trades. So traded only 1 16e today even though I had 2 in my pocket.

No issues whatsoever.

If you want free, sign up for Usmobile for free trial, and transfer there. Cheapest option would be to port into helium. Then maybe sign up for $5 lyca and port in. Above $5, there are multiple options. fyi - you could try signing up for multiple usmobile free trials.

Did you turn them on or activate them on cricket before trading them in?

All iphones were turned on, activated, and esim moved to a different unlocked phone before trade. I also charged all iphones but for the latest 2 x 16e, I did not charge them (one still with me, will trade in a few days). One thing I noticed is the battery health cycle count. If you charge them, the count increases for every time you charge it, and when I checked battery health on one of my previous iphones, that page kept spinning with no data, until I restarted and charged again. Not sure if that is some indication for potential "unauthorized modification", but that iphone failed the diagnosis at apple store.

I also tried ordering a Moto Stylus as a second second account, the order went through, but got cancelled moments later citing verification issues. fyi - I had changed my billing address on my existing account just to see if that helps in creating second account. but that did notshake head

I noticed that in the phones I had as but didn't experience failures trading in. I think it's just that the battery health page has no data to run off of until you give it its first charge. Then it'll say 0 cycles/manufactured date and whatever. Probably some weird bug they haven't looked in to yet b/c most iPhone users aren't checking that page the second they get the phone and reporting it as a bug
