It basically spins razor blades to cut tiny bits of grass, meant to run damn near daily.

This one is ancient. Uses a perimeter wire you have to install around your property and bounces off it like a DVD screensaver from 1997

Important detail that CrazyGoat pointed out: This requires embedding a wire all the way around your lawn. I bought one that needed that a few years ago. It was so tedious and I Never got the wire finished. Sold the mower (unused) at a big loss.

Anyone have experience with this? I have 1/4 acre and level lawn. Are the lines as good as a mower? Does it mulch well?

There are others that actually do lines. This one looks to be random. I've had a robot lawn mower (Landroid) for 3 years now. So this is like an old school roomba. It'll also cut everyday and constantly run so for grass that's good. Leaves depends on how much and how thick they are. Love mine though. People pull over to take videos and picture. I have one other neighbor who finally purchased one too.

I have a completely fenced in yard. Do I have to bury the wire or can I just let it run around bouncing of things?

Can any of these handle a driveway between two lawn segments? I have 1/3 acre but the driveway is between the main part and a small strip on the side. No way it's worth buying two at 1k or so. Might be worth buying 2 at 300, maybe.

Would prefer to buy one that is smart enough to drive across

It needs the wire to figure out where it's home base is.

Are lines buried or above ground? I have a zero turn, but one area of my lawn has a dangerous slope. I might get this just to tackle the high slope so I never need to do it manually with my zero turn.

Excellent analogy, thank you. This begs the question, DOES IT EVER HIT PERFECTLY IN THE MIDDLE OF THE CORNER? If so, am ordering one!
