I'd love to try one of these but the plastic internal screens on foldables always make me nervous.

Actually Motorola says there is already a protector applied and 3rd party protectors will damage the screen -- I kind of agree with Motorola on this -- 3rd party screen is unnencessary -- folded phone protects it. You could use a protector on the small screen that's exposed

The issue is not the featureset but rather the overall software support. Moto's Android updates are released significantly later than other OEMs, and Motorola doesn't always support their devices for more than a year or two.
