I used an Ego push mower all last year and really liked it. You don't want thick wet grass, that's for sure, but if you stay up on the mowing it works really well and was happy with battery life. At one point I was push mowing our side lot and my neighbors yard so I walked 5 miles each mow and that would take one 10Ah and one 7.5Ah battery to do. I don't have any 6Ah batteries but would imagine it would do just fine with a small yard as I can mow my front and rear smaller yards with a 5Ah while not using the self propelled. If you push it yourself and don't use self propelled you will get much better battery life and it's not bad to push.

The knock off brand ego batteries are about a third the price on Amazon. No experience with them but they have good reviews so I might try one next time I have an ego battery die. Even if they last half as long as genuine ego batteries, you're still coming out on top. If they last nearly as long then it's a no brainer
I bought one with a lot of "good reviews". It was supposedly a 5 Ah replacement but it's considerably lighter than the 5 Ah EGO battery. It works okay, but is closer to a 3 Ah. One issue is you cannot leave it on the charger like the EGO batteries can be left. The good news is that when I left a critical review (3 stars), the company selling it on Amazon refunded me the full purchase price. So I have a battery that is not the advertised capacity but does work well enough to run my mower for some of my yard.

If you have anything bigger than 1/4 of an acre, and considering how expensive EGO batteries are, would the deal for the 800 series with 2 batteries not be a better deal? Just one battery will cost the difference, and you get a slightly better(?) mower? If you already got EGO batteries, then this might be decent. But beware of committing to EGO because the batteries are super expensive. Had I been starting over, I would've strongly considered ryobi instead when they go on sale.
I bought this mower from lowes without read reviews, next day i return after i see super expensive battery cost, i keep my gas Honda.

The $650 for the LM2130SP deal is pretty well better regardless. Lowes allows returns for a single part of such buy 1 get 1 deals and refunds the proportional amount when returning that part. In this case, the $650 is split into $463.88 for the mower and $185.12 for the battery. The upgraded mower and larger battery is well worth the extra $64.88. If you really find yourself needing more than the 7.5AH battery, it seems like picking up one of the better knock off 10AH options is the way to go. They're all underweight and under capacity, but if you treat that knockoff 10AH as a legit EGO 7AH, it's pretty similar, and about half the price you're returning that 5AH battery for.
