I work on cars for a living and have probably 15 different scan tools. I prefer Autel over any of the other brands. I use their 808 tablet daily, but to do a quick scan, https://a.co/d/0j7J9E4T is what I reccomend in this price range.
If you are planning on using a scan tool a little more than to check your codes on a single car, get a bluedriver. It's very hard to beat for under $100.
