Recently bought the 65" from Costco and I am blown away with the picture and response time! Unbelievable for the price. Highly recommend

I should have snagged it last night. Was mulling it over when the price jumped $600.

It's kind of crazy that the price is so low for such a large TV with good tech. Every thing else gets more expensive but TVs.

Wasn't the 65" below $500 recently for Black Friday?

I bought the 65 during their Super Bowl sale and the TV is amazing. I'm sure there's TVs out there way better for way more money but for the price it's incredible. The built in speakers are actually decent (although we use a soundbar) and we have a pretty sunny living room and there's very minimal glare from the sun.

Costo has the 65" QM6K Pro (better reflection handling, same everything else) with an extended warranty (5yr total) for $499. Better TV, lower price.

With the QM6K, it has really bad judder. This is where image processing is really important and why updating the TCL firmware has an impact. It's mostly noticable to me with the TCL when people are walking around or heads are moving, especially against a dark background. There is some blur and trailing artifacts, even with all motion and clarity settings off. I spent 60 days with this TV trying to resolve the issues with poor motion handling, because I really love everything else about this set, but ultimately, TCL has some work to do on their image processing. Honestly, it is an awesome set for the price point, and like I said before, it will be great for people who are not sensitive to motion handling. If you are interested, my advice would be to give it a try, but be prepared to return it if you are not satisfied.
My 65" QM6K Pro had seriously bad flickering out of the box. Manually updating the firmware to v321 with a USB stick completely solved it. I absolutely love this TV. Paid $529 at Costco. I'm blown away by the picture quality for the money.

I have the Pro and the reflection handling is truly awful. I regret buying it. Any lightsource in front of the tv in dark scenes not only shows but has rainbow refraction bands going all across the screen. It'd be a great tv for a dark home theater room but Id stay away for any other use case.

I had a 42" Samsung over a decade ago that had no smoothing options in the settings so a slow pan of a landscape in a movie looked unacceptably jagged. I upgraded to the 52" version, changed smoothing & judder settings to maybe 20% and I was happy with it.

How long ago was your experience with the QM6K? Maybe TCL fixed it with a firmware update?

I returned it just last week.

Do you remember the version number of the firmware you upgraded to? Also where'd you find it for $400?

It was $450 at costco, but I bought it at the same time as another item that qualified for the costco direct $100 off two items. I updated to V321. I would be doubtful that another update would solve this judder issue completely, though. The processor is likely part of what makes this TV as cheap as it is and thus it will be limited by its hardware. It's impressive that it performs as well as it does.

I'm curious to know if there is a 55" model and if so, how much is that going for on sale?
