Please note asus monitors are useless in multi monitor setup when connected via display port because application windows do not remember where they were when they monitors reawaken from sleep. Does not apply if connected via HDMI.

If anyone knows if Asus has fixed this, please correct me.

I've been keeping my eye on this for a while and it's the cheapest I've ever seen it.

They have their uses. Satchmo used a 6k monitor to write "What a Wonderful World" and many of his other songs.

Do you have more info on this?
Quick search leads me to added features for this on windows 11 to remember windows, which makes sense to as this seems like a OS problem, not a hardware problem?

It's definitely a hardware problem. Even with the added features to remember window positions, it still has them in the wrong place. If you buy Dell or viewsonic, the issue is nonexistent. It's some issue with the way displayport is being implemented by certain OEMs. Mind you, using an adapter to Co vert displayport from your graphics card to a hdmi port for the monitor fixes this issue.

This is perfect scaling for macOS at 32 inches. Much cheaper than most alternatives.

Many people care about pixel density more than resolution. At this size, 6K is the minimum to get you what Apple calls "retina" DPI. It will give a you a very clear image, crisp text, and will work well with Mac scaling.

I'd quite like to get a 6k monitor but I don't want to go back to 60hz even for office work, so I'm going to hold out.

60 Hz = Un-professional display.
