Chase Ultimate Rewards: 30% Transfer Bonus To Southwest

Get 30% bonus Rapid Rewards points when you transfer from Chase Ultimate Rewards between May 15, 2026 at 12:00 AM ET and June 5, 2026 at 11:59 PM ET.

Transfers must be at least 1,000 points. For every 1,000 Ultimate Rewards points you move, you'll get 1,300 Rapid Rewards points total (1,000 base + 300 bonus).

The bonus is awarded by Southwest and usually shows up instantly, but can take up to 7 days after the transfer completes. Bonus points don't count toward Companion Pass or tier status.

I wouldnt. Hyatt is the last remaining decent point redemption option. And now SW has gone away from their old system there's really no benefit of choosing them over any other airlines.

Can't go wrong either way, but depends what you need to book in the near future – flight or hotel? The good thing is you can book a basic fare with points on Southwest, and get a full refund if you have to cancel, unlike when paying in cash, where the funds expire 6-months from the date of booking.

Southwest has gone downhill. Every flight I've taken has been delayed for 2+ hours on the most active routes (Chicago to New York). The problem is rebooking. Their tech platforms and customer service are extremely outdated and they have very limited flight options unlike United and Delta. The issue is that Southwest does not use a hub model so that if one flight is delayed or cancelled you are left stranded which caused the meltdown a few years back. There is a reason Southwest is always running sales but I've steered away, cancelled the Southwest credit card, and am very happy sticking with United

I usually get 1.2-1.3 cents/mile with Southwest, but struggle to get more than 1.35 cents/point with Chase, even with my Reserve card, so this is a fantastic deal for me. I think I'm going to transfer most/all of my points. Everyone's situation is different, but personally, I've liked Southwest even better after getting assigned seating. My family had just aged out of family boarding so it's made travel easier.

I was wondering if I could transfer my sw points to my other chase card?? I wont be flying anywhere or going anywhere - so I need to find a way to get rid of them .

You need to have either the Chase Sapphire Reserve, the Chase Sapphire Preferred, or the Chase Ink Preferred in order to transfer points to airlines.

Thanks. I found it later for my CSR.
It was not showing up for Chase Freedom (which I figure out later that it doesn't allow point transfer).
