18 inch width is a little bit crappy

Strongly prefer 24 inch width personally

Any idea if these can be separated out into 2/2 height tables

Exactly. Unless you're limited by space then 18" width is pretty slim.

The weight limit on each shelf on these racks is excellent, but I can't imagine how you could max it out with such a slim width unless you're stacking weights or car parts or something.

Same. I have three of the 24" deep ones. Perfect for storing winter wheels/tires off the ground. I could use two more for other storage, as well. Unlike my particle board racks these never sag.

These are a great deal, and it's more than just 2 for $300. If you want a lot, you can get as high as 5 for 600 which is better than clearance pricing.

Sale on these, but they are HUGE. 7.5ft wide, 7.5 tall, 2 deep. One for $300 or two for $500.

Ignoring height, the bigger one is a better deal. The 24" by 90" shelf has double the area per shelf.

I've never understood why one would need these metal racks for home use. You can get 2 of these ($30 ea in store)

What do you have at home that needs a metal rack over the thick plastic ones?

Gladiator is my favorite storage rack brand - they're super durable and tough. I've had gladiator stuff for over 10 years and it doesn't show any wear. I prefer them over the gorilla brand.

Things that melt plastic, weights, gold bars, boxes of 10mm socket wrenches, bowling balls, anvils, 5,000 pounds of feathers. Lots of things

I like to throw tools, lawn mower ... probably holds on plastic too but feels safer on metal
