i have older ryobi products. Still the same color but i feel like they changed their batteries at some point. Do these work with the older batteries as well? i dont have near me so i can say specifics but i know they've changed over the years.

yeah there are a few variations. "HP" tools are all (I think without exception) brushless, and there are also HP batteries, which generally just means high output/higher capacity
iirc you can use the old batteries with new tools, and new batteries with the old tools. just dont mix-and-match the chargers, they're designed around the chemistry of the specific line of batteries
