I didn't know about the "infamous innogrit controller" when I bought it several years ago. I only learned about it later, and then I did extensive research because I was terrified of my drive failing out of the blue. This was a couple of years ago, but IIRC, my research led to me learning that this does not actually have that infamous controller like so many people parrot, it has a slightly different one that is not prone to random failure. Of course, you should probably do your own research and take anything that people say on the internet with a grain of salt. But those are my two cents. Very happy with mine though, I've not had a problem in the 3ish years I've had it.
Just ignore these "deals" and hope that the Ai bubble burst so hard that the US economy crumbles.

The Hynix Platinum P41 seems great as well but I have not used them as much. (Mostly put them in laptops given their low power draw)
The Acer GM7000 has a slightly higher Duration rating and much longer Mean Time Between Failure rating and is only ever so slightly slower than the Samsung 990 Pro. While I have had no issue with the controllers they do tend to run hotter.
$280 is acceptable at the moment but nothing special.

I almost posted but then figured I'd get yelled out by a bunch of people who didn't understand what YMMV meant or were just bitter it wasn't them. IMO it was a sucky deal overall since a 1TB should cost $50-60 but by 2026 standards it was actually pretty decent...
