I've had GoogleFI for years without issue. It can be prepaid or after. It's not the cheapedt but works a lot places people near me don't get reception, because it shares networks. There are google deals, but not blow your socks off. No contracts, but free stuff with bill credits, extra value on trade ins, etc
Avoid Google Fi !! Customer Service is BEYOND TERRIBLE!!
I had it for a couple years before switching to US Mobile because I needed Verizon coverage, but I never had issues with customer service. Maybe it's gotten worse?

I was with them for almost 7 years, and I left them about 3 years ago because of how terrible their customer service became.
When I first moved to them, they had US based customer service and it was fantastic. Then they moved half of it to India the other half to the Philippines and neither team would talk to the other, and we all suffered. You would open a support ticket with them, they would promise a call back within 48 hours but that call would never come ever come. And when you called them to get a status, they would say there is no ticket and you have to open a new one. It was a terrible circle jerk.
When we decided to move away to another TMO MVNO, they kept screwing us around for 6 months before they would release our second line for porting out. And we had to keep both lines because we had had them since the early 2000s..
Been on fi since march
Have had no need to call customer service. Had not needed support from tmobile either.
Fine, you have been there a couple months. Whoopeee. But just wait until your service or billing statements start going wonky and you will rue the day you went to Fi.

They're all bad. If it works, it is fine.
