Ryobi's 18V clamp fan is a compact, versatile cooling helper that works well for personal use, from camp chairs and strollers to garages, golf carts, and even keeping food cool or mirrors from fogging. The clamp is described as strong, and the fan has enough runtime to handle long stretches, with reports of a 4Ah battery lasting through a full day or overnight use. It is also praised for being handy in power outages and humid events. The main drawback is that the USB C version exists but costs more, while this tool only version keeps the price low.

I have one of these but prefer the skil 12/20v FN0400D-00 clamp fan. The skil fan can be used via usb c, is brushless, 5 year warranty when registered within 30 days and works just as good as the Ryobi.
I have a bunch of Ryobi tools and batteries so this would be interesting only for its ability to operate via USB-C

Is it USB-C PD with multiple voltages/currents supported? If only 5V, what current does it need from the power pack? (The product web page doesn't have this information)

I even clamp it to the weed wacker on hot days to help cool me off a bit.
Great idea. Those bad boys can start to feel heavy after a bit.

I have 1 of these and 2 larger fans all from Ryobi and during a recent power outage this worked more efficiently for personal cooling even on a 2ah battery overnight.

Give it at least 1amp at 5v it'll work off a usb 2.0 port on high setting (that will provide at least 1amp) on my computer.

I ordered one and HD canceled it! Maybe due to local delivery? Unclear.
same 😔

note, I did reorder it again, and this time it tried to get me to spend at least $25 total for same day free shipping. I just picked the next available free date, and so far they haven't cancelled my order.

Ryobi has a USB-C version too, but it's $40.

Bought one for myself and immediately had to order another for my wife! These are a great buy and the battery lasts days, I ran it for 8hrs while sleeping on a 4ah battery and had 3 bars left! Highly recommend getting this.

I have 4 of these and the USBC version. Love them. They are supposedly coming out with a brushless which should make these go for even longer.

I own one, it's kind of useless.
Sounds like you weren't blown away by this unit. You must not be a fan.
