Of course I know because I own a couple pairs of them. I just meant $1399 is not a particularly "slick" of a deal.

Hi, not to challenge what you said, but could you share how you get the $1400 price besides this deal, please? I own a HD600x and is considering an upgrade, but budget is a bit tight in coming months, if $1400 is a regular thing now, I don't need to rush into this deal. TIA.

It would be very helpful to install Keepa, which is a price tracking browser extension. Last time HD800s being about 1399 was in Jan 2025 though. You could argue this is a fair price in the last while for a brand new one, but I got mine used on Reddit audio exchange for $800 because why not. It's an established product with an active community so you can find good used ones fairly easily.
