This Frigidaire 6.5 cubic foot upright freezer stands out for garage use and easier access than a chest freezer, with several long term reports of it running well through hot summers and frigid winters. The 1 year parts and labor warranty is clearer than the confusing return window, and the manual defrost design is the main tradeoff. The cabinet can arrive with cosmetic scratches or dents, and the build feels flimsy enough that returns may be awkward. It is a practical compact freezer if you are fine with periodic defrosting and careful delivery handling.

The door is also very hard to open - you need to use two hands - one to hold the fridge and one to pull on the door. Else it will just slide around on the floor as you tug on it.
