I'm surprised these still get down to this price point. Good product and good price.

Picked one up when it was on sale previously. Works great, just know what you're getting for the price. It is incredibly loud (as most higher HP shop vacs are) and you should wear hearing protection when you're using it for any prolonged period of time, especially in confined spaces. The bottom and top don't create anything close to a seal. There's no gasket, you can and should DIY one with weather stripping. Otherwise, when the bin has dust in it, lifting it by the handle will release a healthy puff of that dust. The tug along hose feature also caused a bunch of dust to escape when I pulled it up and over a 3/4" stall mat due to the same problem.

I bought this over 6 years ago when I bought my house and it's still going strong. A must have for any homeowner.

What do you use it for?

Vacuuming unfinished areas like the basement or garage. Can be used to suck up water and helps with cleanup for any remodeling. Would recommend emptying before full because it can get really heavy

Thanks OP. Just pulled the trigger. Same day delivery too. Needed one ever since my old lady burnt out my beloved Craftsman 16G wet/dry that I had for like 20 years. Bought it when Sears and Craftsman was still at the mall. Looks like I'll be detailing my interior this weekend.

Check the vac comparison reviews at Project Farm. Ridgid isn't faring very well these days. With that said, my 25-year-old similar Ridgid model is still going strong so I was disappointed to see this.

I bought mine ~22 years ago, I think mine is a 12 gallon 5hp version. I've used and abused it for pumping water out of flooded basements too many times, cleaning coal ash from the furnace every year, and various household construction project cleanup tasks over the years. A workhorse.
