Wait, are Daniel and Penny step-siblings or half-siblings? Now I'm confusing myself.
2. Unlike previous instances that Desmond flashed through time, he doesn't appear to be suffering from any disorientation. I wonder why.
3. Eloise once again seems to transcend the laws of time and space. She seems completely aware of what's going on in the past, present, and future when nobody else does. Is she somehow related to Jacob?
4. So Widmore is sending Desmond on a mission to the main island with the intent of exposing him to an extreme amount of electromagnetic energy. As far as we know, there are two such sources on the island. One was destroyed (the Swan), while one may still be around (the Orchid). Maybe Desmond is going to attempt to destroy the Orchid station? Or maybe Desmond is going to turn the wheel to send the island through time once more, but he won't end up in Tunisia like everybody else.
was going to post that your observations were not showing up in the original post, but they show up here in the reply

It's funny how Widmore and Eloise were married in the alt. world, but not in the original world. But for Jin and Sun, it's the opposite in both worlds.

bummed. However, as a true Lostie, I shall weather this storm and keep truckin' and hang in there til the end (simultaneously crossing my fingers that they write some
type of "tell-all" book to hold my hand and guide me through wtf just happened these past few mindfarks of seasons )
So I guess I'm in for the ride... Now you guys resume sounding all smart and stuff and I'll pretend like I'm along the same line of thought. Carry on

I started thinking about it and couldn't understand how in the world the DI managed to get all the stuff they needed to the island. The VW vans, all the concrete/etc. for building the swan, the big drill thingy that the blew up....they couldn't have brought it all on the sub.

Maybe they moved the island into the middle of a shopping complex, loaded it up with stuff, then moved it somewhere else.
ABC is seeking to make an all-night event out of the series finale of "Lost" on Sunday, May 23. TheWrap.com reports that prior to the two-hour episode that night at 9 p.m. ET, there will be a two-hour retrospective. Then later that night, one of the most famous "Lost" fanatics, Jimmy Kimmel, will do a special "Jimmy Kimmel Live" in honor of the show.
So, "Lost" fans will be able to get their fill of the show - and then some - on the final night with five full hours of programming.
