So ... did you all know you can get a $10 gift certificate from Kohls with any purchase today? Ends today. And you can use the $10 starting tomorrow. Or maybe its just a VA thing, since its in honor of tax-free shopping weekend. Anyway, worth checking out. I plan on making the rounds, picking up cheapo clearance stuff to get the $10 certs. Big Grin Dare I venture in to the Kohls thread to see what might be a good find, or can anyone here give a clue as to what current clearance deals are?
How did you find out about this? Our tax free weekend isn't for anothe 2 weeks....so hoping it will be here, too...

I found out about it because I bought some clearance toys yesterday morning and was handed the coupon. Big Grin I had no idea, honestly. So my sister grabbed a shirt and went through the line, just to see if it was *any* purchase, and it sure was. I have no idea how long it was going on, how many days they did it, but definitely the day before tax-free shopping.

Thanks for the info on the 15% pass. And yep, they did hand it back to me. That place was a ZOO! I guess people go crazy on tax-free weekends??

I was very happy to finally find a pair of sandals for Eva. They're a bit garish, but at least they fit. laugh out loud We spent about $6, and got a work shirt for hubby, 2 camisoles for me, a t-shirt for me, a tank top for Eva, and a pair of sandals for Eva. Can't wait to go back and spend the remaining 7 certificates!!! Whee

Was this one $10.00 certificate per purchase or a 10.00 for every $10.00 spent ?

I'm at a hotel in SA and they blocked the coupon printer from being installed. GGGGRRRR Of course. Oh well, guess we don't need that play-doh! Dammitt.

Dora sailed right through on the 5 dolla movies. I love it when their coupons play nice.

Well, I did do some shopping (not enough, obviously) - but nuffin yet. Now I have to hold off until at least tomorrrow afternoon. DH wants to go to the flea market. Big Grin Which, if providence holds true, means I *will* go into labor... lol. It has either rained or something else the past few weekends that he's wanted to go.

Ugh. Is it bad that i'm looking at my Kroger cards and noticing that I have a couple with q's expiring tonight that I want to sneak out and go shopping?? It's a sickness, I tell you... crayons and dessert toppers... p&g products... oy oy oy

Can't give a suggestion, but can say their "no hassle warranty" really is no hassle laugh out loud Got a replacement mixer in a week... and the new one comes with a year warranty again!

What capacity (model) do you want.? Right now I'd look at Lowe's .sears and amazon, not alot of good deals out there Maybe some bing or fat wallet cash back or q's , on these stores. . Do you have a kohl's charge ?

Are you looking for a Brick and mortar store or on- line ordering. Maybe Costco, who has a great return policy..

I started this back in January when the A$$ ex moved out (okay, almost ex but I am just done with this freaking marriage)... as of this morning, I have lost 60lbs!!! I am beyond thrilled! I have gone from a size 22/24 down to a 12!! I cant remember the last time I wore a size 12!!

But the biggest difference is in every day life.. not just #s and clothing sizes.. I went to see Tim McGraw and Lady Antebellum 2 weeks ago.. there were about 75-100 stairs UP a steep incline... I did it all without getting out of breath, which used to be a hard task... OR going to the gym and being able to jog a solid mile without having to stop and walk! When I started, it took me 18min to go a mile.. I am down to 10!! That feels DAMN good Smilie

I've got 4 of them... Get the Professional Model.. Costco has the best price, but if you check kitchenmaid on line and don't mind a refurbished you can get a great price. I bought 1 refurbished professional model at a steal.. Think it was $175.. not a scratch on it.

If the box is dented or anything silly like that, it has to be considered refurbished.

Holy Smokes, we are havin a bad storm. Sitting in the den and the sliding door out to the porch tried to open itself and it's HEAVY EEK! lightening like crazy. I'm sitting on the porch now enjoying the cool breezes, but I think I better go in, the lightening is freakishly bad.
Oh.. I love some nice thunder and lighting...

Of course, that's after I come to your house for leftovers!!!!

and some potatoes...

i tried this lanacane chafing creme that i bought at Walmart for about $6. (scandalous to shop there occasionally i know)

I too have a chafing problem in the summer. it works amazingly!

there is a free trial size of it available at the lanacane site [lanacane.com]
maybe your dh could give it a whirl and see if it helps him too.
Awesome Awesome Awesome! I had seen it on TV and wondered if it would work, so I signed up so DH could find out - thanks!! woot

Quote from ank220 :
Can you guarantee that?? Cuz I'd even try castor oil at that point... Roll
Funny, but, true - I tried it with DD#2 on the day before her due date. took 2 doses. Went into labor that night. Big Grin First DD was twoooo weeks late so I'm pretty sure the castor oil is what did it!

Flu - I just missed this in IL. But, I can tell you what I know about those certs and you most certainly can use more than one at a time (maybe you just need a jedi, IDK, but it does work). GA & Fl just had these a few weeks ago. You can also combine with the $5 eBay q's so even if only one at a time, use with the email q's. Wink

M2C, I 2nd this advice...here's a link to the refurbished mixers: http://www.shopkitchenaid.com/pro...HDR=outlet

I think I have the Professional 5, I think my mom has one that has the 6-qt. bowl. I've found no need yet for 6 qts. but she loves hers. A lot of our family has gotten mixers from there and all been happy!

Oh... and I broke my toe at Kroger today. I was wearing flip flops (I swear they are made by the devil) and wasn't paying attention and somehow or another kicked the cart in just the right way. Oh man... talk about instant pain. I almost cried out, but there was a guy halfway down the aisle and I was afraid if I did that I'd freak him out and give him a heart attack.... lol He'd probably think I was in labor.
OMG! Grouphug I have kicked the cart before in flip flops but never that seriously. Hope it's better soon. Just the other day I swiped my hand on an advertisement hanging off the pantene aisle at T. a flap of skin peeled off my hand and it was bleeding pretty badly. I had to buy some dora bandaids asap to take care of it. Crylol

I hear ya about the heat. It's been brutal this year.(
The heat hasn't been that bad here; it is the lack of rain that's killing us. The grass in my yard looks like hay. Mad But, we have gotten the prettiest tomaters, zucchini and cucumbers. We are trying to eat all the ripe fruits and veggies before we leave town Monday. It's hard work but at least I can avoid the grocery store for a while nod

Yep Yep! I second that. Ate some, went for a walk and bam! Out came a baby! Big Grin

You should have decided this a month ago! Rofl2

I never guessed for Ank: 8/24 - 6:53AM- 8lb 2 oz. Smilie
