Did you watch?

For a show on a non premium cable channel, I thought it was very good. I never read the comic, so I don't know how it compares, but I'll be watching every Sunday. pisses me off that I don't get AMC in HD though.

I'll have to watch it again, but if I saw that right, Maggie and Glenn fended off a bunch of guys with 50 cals and other impressive weapons, and they did so while hiding behind a few pieces of wood. Meanwhile, five minutes earlier, those same guys were blowing up entire watchtowers with single shots from noob toobs.

Yeah, I just don't get why there was so much lead-up to the prison showdown and it was basically ....nothing. They went in shooting, found nothing, set off a few fireworks, shot a few walkers, then retreated. And Maggie and Glenn couldn't pick off a single Woodbury person during the exit shootout? And the chick that survived the Governor's rampage, Karen, she stood up to him and said something about it being a "slaughter" or "massacre" or something like that? Where? When? No one even got hit. Huh

And seriously, the Governor is like a cat with 9 lives. He should have died last night. Sooooo sick of him.

I was really hoping Milton was going to bust out some science about the virus before his passing :-(

That final wasn't good. Who the hell is going to ride with the Gov. after his display of mental instability? And the team is still stuck at the prison? Are you kidding me?

I'm watching Game of Thrones tonight, a show that rarely disappoints unlike, "The Governor (and sometimes Zombies too)"
Yeah doesn't shock me. They lived there for about a year in the comic so stretching it a year in this instance isn't all that far fetched. I'm sure Season 4 will start with a 9 month gap like Season 3 started and I'm guessing they will feel as if perhaps they can make this prison a home and start feeling comfortable, then BOOM, shhhhh happens again and the Governor shows up in rare form.

he was too busy / preoccupied with the thought they they were still people when they were reanimated. I really don't think he knew anything special about the virus.

I just want to get back on track, or at least get a slice, of figuring out what the virus is/how it works/where it comes from but instead it was just more human on human conflict.

Sooooooo irritating, how could they miss at point blank range and that range was not too far off? I understand they aren't all that strong and haven't fired an automatic before but still...sheeesh.

Not going to happen, can tell you that now. They've not even delved into that in the comic and if you've learned anything form this show, the writers and producers don't create tangible concepts up on their own but go back to the original source material. The only originality they create are with zombie killing and character development.

I think the direction was trying to convey that they wanted to show that these Woodbury people weren't soldiers but merely people put in a situation they've never faced and I would suspect that's how most would act when panicked, frightened, and really not born and trained to fight like that. Being overly dramatic, yeah I could see that happening.

I would agree that I'd love to hear more of it. Something my wife pointed out from watching the Marathon. In S1 and S2 they would show flashbacks to life BEFORE. Or During the break out at least...and they show the big bombing of Atlanta that Shane and Lori witnessed...They need to do more stuff like that. Now that they are getting 40+ new survivors in the prison and some of them will become key to the group. However...they are ALL going to be weakass old people or whinny ladies with little kids since all the warriors were killed, which could get really annoying.

The 50 cal gun jammed.

They went into the prison with their tactical weapons (like shotguns), leaving the Milkor MGL (6 shot noob) in the truck and came out to am ambush. You aren't going to take a noobtube inside the prison for close quarters combat.

Maggie and Glenn were also hiding beside some plates they had found and in full bullet proof riot gear.

I agree that more should have died in the prison yard but Maggie is a terrible shot as we saw in the earlier altercation.

They got a good deal from Morgan when Rick/Michonne/Carl went back to Rick's town. There was some at the prison and they had some on them. They also snagged a few from Woodbury when they raided the town. They have been resourceful to say the least.

i just took that they got most of them (like the humvee) from that raid they did on the National Guard (when we first met the Governor). I think that is supposed to be the story behind Woodsburry's weapons. I think the prison crew got theirs from...the black dude's stash. EDIT: Morgan...that's it.

Remember Morgan raided and took the entire police stockpile to his home and they loaded up on a few from him. I didn't account for how many but it was a dufflebag or two full of them as well as ammo.
