Yesterday, as I was cramming the emlo machine here full it occured to me that for the plain jane appliances R bought before we became a couple I really do love this set. And they are now 6 years old. Then I said a quick prayer to the elmo machine gods that they would continue working as perfectly as they have always. Scared myself for a minute though thinking about possible breakdown. EEK!

Yeah.. I didn't get banned. Smilie

Sorry they had to move it over here. Frown

So I had all the multi quotes going on, but have decided to leave it alone, the shear volume of reps I received just proved my point that I was not the only one feeling the same way ( and no reps were not expected, I could care less about them) but thank you for them just the same though.

The last thing I will say on this matter is that I did not stoup to her level! Bullying be it by a child or adult is not acceptable, and how can one try to stop it if no one ever says anything to the bully.

That's the end of that..

Won't be heading down to Wa. for a bit now, we have Thanksgiving on Oct.11th and then my granddaughter is putting on a performance on Oct.12th (she sings) so maybe sometime after that if I'm lucky.

Will live precariously through all of you for the next couple of weeks. Wishing you all windshield wishes as Dia would say!

Oh I forgot to add, my grandson got two teeth yesterday!! I forgot how sharp they are.. Ouch!!

on a drink break. it's going too slow!!! ima gonna be in trouble. tomorrow i have to go over to friend's house 50 minutes away to pick up tables from 2 places and make up 6 posters tomorrow. will spend all day pricing on thursday and taking over to bff's house.

It depends on where you are selling I think, and how much you paid for them.. Here, with my usual buyers, I would probably start at 15.00 each.
tx! i was looking at ebay and it was a little confusing. for higher value items i usually print out an auction or list of auctions from ebay and undercut a little to show it's a real bargain plus don't have to pay for shipping, but prices were a little all over the place to print out the list.

Quote from Christine1227 :
Yeah, I'm not doing strict Atkins/no carbs - seems way too difficult. And this diet is already kind of limited, so I think just eating meat alone would drive me crazy (but would be heaven for gt6 LOL). I just don't eat the most obvious carb offenders (breads/pastries, pasta, rice, etc). But I'm not sure if I'm not noticing the weight loss because I haven't thrown in an exercise routine yet or if I'm overdoing something (salad dressing? portion size? snacks?) or because my body is still adjusting. Maybe I'm a lot like you and won't notice it until next month.
I do agree that guys have it MUCH easier. My brother did the same kind of diet over the summer and lost weight rapidly. Sigh, something about that male body... Girly laugh out loud
do dressing on the side and dip your fork in it then pick up some salad. it takes a little getting used to (of course dh won't do it) but you save on soooooo many calories you could eat elsewhere instead of wasting them on dressing! i've done this for many yrs.

also making a more concerted effort to have more veggies on the plate than pasta.

it's working for me! even though exercise has been rather hit or miss. usual is to go for an hr or more walk w/ bff which is usually more talk than walk but it's been raining a lot the last couple wks. which is good b/c it was really dry all summer but bad that haven't been exercising at all.

if i were exercising more i'm sure it would be even better, not to mention better for heart, etc.

Quote from love2beeamom :
I think the key to any weight loss program is sensible eating... not eating food void of nutrients, and exercise.. To succeed and keep it off, it has to be a total lifestyle change.
i totally agree! you cannot go back to your old ways and expect to not gain the weight back. that's some of how you got there in the first place.

Pls be advised that I won't be able to respond to any PMs until I get back (not sure yet when).

Hope you all have a nice week.
The only way I know, is to "multi-quote" the post, then come here and "reply" to a post, at under the category icons there is an option to use other posts, select it, and erase the replied post from here. I'm sure there's an easier way.

I HATE taking the kids shopping with me. For some reason, it always ends up costing me lots of money.

Iagree

If you want something warm and soothing, you could slice some ginger and steep in hot water for ginger tea. I heart this!

Oh, if you have a ST, they sell fresh ginger. Smilie

Thank you!!

Okay... the good stuff:

Went to T and used the deli coupon (finally) on some cheese - no beeps! Free cheese sticks. Used Kraft Cheese coupon - beeped, k1'd - more free cheese sticks. Bakery q - 2 bagels - beeped. Facepalm Not valid on .99 items. Cashier decided to let me use 1 - s'ok by me... Produce items - q beeped on onion, lettuce, apples, but not on sweet potatoes, *shrug*

Oldest DD did same thing but different produce - q beeped on grapes, lettuce, banana, but not bean sprouts. *shrug*

All in all, we got 8 produce items, 6 cheese sticks, and 4 bagels. All for $2.75! Thank you sooo much!! The 2 lettuce alone without the q's would've cost 2.77 after tax!! Too bad lettuce isn't long storing. This month, though, I think we'll be eating well. Big Grin

Now for Mavis and the not as great as expected news...

Doc thinks it is highly likely that she'll need surgery anyways. She's got hydro-nephrosis with mega ureter. Meaning her kidney is enlarged and her ureter is huge. Her kidney, on a scale of 1-4, he said is a 3. Her ureter looked like a big sausage on the ultrasound. He did say that it was great that there is no reflux of urine back into the kidney. That would mean that she would be on constant anti-biotics. Right now, he wants to monitor her and check her again in 2 mos with another ultrasound. The earliest they would do surgery is between 10-12 mos. There is still a chance that she'll not have any problems and they can leave it, but he didn't think that would end up being the case because it is so very enlarged. The deciding factors will be if she gets any infections or if it gets bigger.

My sweet DH is worried. He actually came home from work early to snuggle Mavis. I soooo heart him. I love to see him being so tender with the girls.

Honestly, unless I know of a specific coupon or suspect it's out there, I don't check printables as often as I should. So I do appreciate the post - especially when it's a good q like a bogo! So thank you very much!

And thank you HD for your help too! You've always been a great asset!

y'all gonna think this is funny but me and dh are chinese (different chinese but anyway) and we do not like ginger! actually, what's always baffled me is how you always see them on tv incorporating it into recipes (esp grated) but usually real chinese people cut it into chunks, slices, slivers or whatever to cook w/ b/c it supposedly neutralizes gamey or fishy tastes and then it's in big enough pieces so you can pick it out. all the kids do that. only seniors actually eat it.

ank, sorry about mavis. but it doesn't sound horribly serious and is correctable so lucky in that regard.

back to the salt mines!
