James Durbin, come back again next year if you don't get some type of offer you really Rock

Carrie is good, but not great like Reba, Patsy Cline or Loretta. The foundation of her success is built on all of the hype of a tv game show. She's an insta-star. There are too many others whom came up thru the ranks, working their way to get where they are, they didn't just "win" their chance to "be there" - I guess that's my issue with it Frown

As you say some maybe talented, but they are NOT legend material by any means shake head

Ya know if James would have won, I would have liked him even though I didn't think he was consistent with his performances. Reason being is that he's overcome obstacles and worked hard (harder than the other average contestants) to get where he is today. KWIM? In my mind hard work pays off. Youth today have the Veruca Salt mindset...I want it and I want it NOW! Instant gratification with little or no work/struggle.

The first year I watched Idol the TiVO cut off just as they were about to announce the winner. Annoyed So yesterday as we were out shopping my thoughts kept going to AI and I kept hoping the little bugger would do it's job correctly. We upgraded to the whole home DVR system and it's been a tad glitchy so I was wondering....

After getting things settled, I was one the couch with my Dr Pepper and butter popcorn ready to watch the show! That when the WTF moment struck. Nothing. Zip. Nada. The back DVR shows weren't showing up on the front DVR. Hubby checked it and said it wasn't working properly at all. UGH!

I got up this morning and tried it again...sans popcorn and Dr Pepper. Loved the show. heart So glad I was able to see it. So glad Scotty won. I was rooting for him from Hollywood week. Well, I was really rooting for a lot of them. laugh out loud But I have to love the boy from my home state. Yahoo!

I saw something on Scotty's face the week that James got booted. Maybe I misread it but I swear I think he might have known then he would be in the finale. I doubt he would ever say that. It's not his style. Or maybe I misread what I saw. Maybe it was sheer disbelief that James got the boot.
