We took a pair of good-size cardboard boxes and put two concrete blocks in them, taped it up and set it up on end, covered it with a table cloth and put a lamp and book on it for the side tables.
My DH found a deal on craigslist (again) on a lambs and ivy crib set also including a lamp, diaper stacker. mobile etc for $50 and so now we have our theme- dinosaurs!! I will post a pic soon of my belly in the room so you can see. We always take belly pics in the nursery and I love watching the room come together but not looking at myself.
Edit: Okay, I'm trying to get this set up, and I don't want it to be public, just want my mom and in-laws to be able to see it. But it says private lets only me see it. That's not going to work. Anyone done this before know if you can just limit it to certain people? I don't want anyone else to stumble across it and think I'm looking for gifts.
PS - Happy Baby Shower!!!
Hubby is at the vet with furgirl so it's just a waiting game.
She has been peeing alot but we know that is one of the side effects with her seizure meds. To top it off when we increased it, it spirals all over again so we never thought of diabetes or cushings(she does not have the potbelly)
She definately has some symptoms...listless, thirsty, not hungry, sleeps sometimes near her water bowl, peeing.
The thing is it wasn't like we weren't taking her out. She would be sleeping and just wake up, stand and pee without a thought. And twice peed on her pink blankie which animals never do unless they have no choice.
We can hardly get her to eat anymore and she is on a special diet for the crystals in her urine. We have had to resort to peanut butter to get her meds down and macaroni, chicken broth and little of her wet food mixed in to get her to eat something.
Oh dear...I hope we found out something good or bad so at least we know what we are dealing with

Dh grandmother just passed...its really is a blessing
:
Happy to see the Shower mommies were a little surprised...
We love you all!!!
Been a bit busy again with the furbabes...
Bialy is doing well but his leg has been not been. It looks so sad and painful when he gets up and the Tramadol doesn't seem to be helping much.
We have started a Laser Therapy for him which they come to the house so keeping our fingers crossed
Bianca has us totally puzzled. She has not been eating lately and we have tried everything. Drinking alot and peeing all over the place which she has never done in her life. (Thank goodness for diapers) Thanks to Rach giving me the idea, they are cheaper than paper towels...
She recently had a full work up, blood and urine and nothing showed up beyond the usual.
Have to take her in for another sample as they are thinking maybe diabetes.
Calgon...................
the move to the lounge won't be that bad at all. just make this thread your personal sticky and you'll find it once you get there.
post counts never counted here anyways so the only changes will be the new forum and no reps, which either won't be a problem because all of you are regulars to this site and know how to get around
if you stickied this now, it'll be stickied for you when it gets moved to another forum. i'll give a few hours before moving so other regulars can see this too.
