Well, I got sick and tired of trying to sell off my stockpile so I posted on craigslist that it was free. People came by the van-load. Some super greedy and pissing me off, others conservative and greatful. Then this one guy came by that goes to a local church. He didn't really want much, just some cough drops. He was very nice, didn't plead his case, nothing. I offered to give him the rest. The look on his face was priceless. I let the greedy people finish loading up their bags and boxes and waited for them to leave. The guy went and got a trailer and came back and we filled it from the front to the back with all my stockpile stuff. (with the exception of 2 tubs of stuff that I'm keeping)
He's coming back tomorrow to get a bed, dresser, and patio furniture we don't need. He's also going to haul off all the bags and bags of crap that we've had to toss out and boxes we don't need. So awesome.
Anyhow. I did my good deed for a long time.

So I have some good news... we had a house showing today and our realtor called the people loved it and want to come back on Thursday for a second showing. I can't even imagine this house selling any time soon. I totally thought we'd close on our lot and have a few months to get together plans and find a builder before it sold.

i went to the asian mkt to get veggies b/c we are expecting another 6-8inches tomorrow nite and not sure if i will get to the supermarket until maybe friday. got asparagus, baby bellas, shanghai bok choy, napa cabbage, kohlrabi, scallions, cherries, udon noodles, firm tofu, oyster sauce and milk.
already ate half the shanghai bok choy and some of the baby bellas for dinner tonite. i think the rest of the wks dinners will end up like this-
-asparagus, baby bellas, onion, stir fried w/ either beef or chicken
-kohlrabi stir fried w/ shrimp
-udon noodle soup w/ either napa cabbage or shanghai bok choy w/ either shrimp, chicken or ham and either shitake mushroom (always have dried in the pantry) or the baby bellas
-bean thread noodles w/ napa cabbage, shitake mushroom, egg and either ham or chicken
-napa cabbage stir fried w/ shrimp
i'm feeling like mac and cheese this wk so i might do it w/ ham and peas and have the asparagus and mushrooms on the side. lemme get the ham steak out to defrost right now. half the ham will go in the mac and cheese , half will go in the bean thread noodles. b4 i started trying to eat better, i would just have mac and cheese w/ peas for dinner. now i make some sort of vegetable side for half my plate.
need to go out again tomorrow to buy whole wheat buns for lunches.

My mom got real upset once when she was shopping at Target and a girl that knew her was checking her out - and the girl started sticking stuff in my mom's bag without scanning it - and winked.... Mom made her take it out and scan it...
I'm super busy with my life and because I know you all don't have a life..and even if you do, well mine is more important..so I need to know what are the great deals and where are the coupons?
Also you may all take turns with clipping my coupons and going shopping for me. I prefer brown bagged over plastic.

My husband snapped this picture of us hugging each other goodbye as we were leaving to go home. That was the last time I saw my sister alive. Though I was planning to go visit her again in March, she died in her sleep, unexpectedly, in late February.
I am SO glad my husband took this picture - because it reminds me so much that if I had known that was the last time I would see my sister, I would have spent out last moments together EXACTLY the same way (except I might have hugged her a just little harder and a whole lot longer...)

Philadelphia Cooking Creme, Savory Garlic -- made the chicken pot pie last night. The dogs are enjoying it. Not even a case of "I'll eat it tonight, but don't make it again".
The garlic is very, very strong. So unless you love garlic, skip this flavor. Now, my disclaimer here is that hubby nor I like strong garlic. A little, like what is in spaghetti sauce is fine. I even use some in skillet lasagna. But neither one of us will ever order Shrimp Scampi. I really hesitated about buying it but there were two recipes that looked kind of good and both called for that one. I thought maybe it would be subtle, not over powering. I was wrong.
On the upside, the texture was pretty decent. It didn't get all runny and soupy. It even sort of held the filling (chicken & veggies) together a little bit. I took it up with a pie server, not a spoon.
My five new tables get delivered today. I'm anxious to see them. Still waiting for the new but being reupholstered love seat. (Ordered it new, got it, fabric started fraying immediately, company is reupholstering it in a different fabric.)
While you are decided who is going to go do all of Bunnies shopping, you can decide who is going to come do my coupons. I, umm, sort of forgot to do last week's inserts, so I have two week worth to do.
