Ank, those pictures are sooo gorgeous!!! heart

Keurig peeps, if you can find Millstone Hazelnut Cream pods, grab them. OMG, the best one yet to me if you love a good hazelnut coffee. The entire kitchen smells like hazelnut now from brewing it. woot I found them with the Keurigs in Walmart Smilie

NO FREAKIN' WAY!!! DS will be all over that! I predict a field trip next Spring Break. You'll have to let us know how it is since I'm sure you guys will hit it first. Smilie

I love hazelnut flavor. So you can use non-Keurig brand cups in the keurig machine? I still haven't opened mine since Christmas but I have been stockpiling the cups (Kohls).

When did your boys start playing with legos? I can't seem to get my oldest interested in them at all. He just turned 3...too young? He doesn't even like the beginner Trio sets. Dontknow

Yep, you can use it over and over. I remember doing that with a certain sippy cup deal.

Thanks for the compliment Bunnies!!
M2C or MOT2 (or anyone else for that matter) Have you gone to Silver Springs? $30 per person general admission? Worth it?
Sorry no idea gator...

We used to go to Silver Springs all the time way back when I was a kid. I honestly haven't been there in 20+ years. Did you hear that the old Cypress Gardens is going to become a LEGO Land this fall? I'm so excited, I can't wait to take DS.
And where is old cypress gardens...Going to google

So now that I am finally feeling better I still have not got to Target. It has been almost three weeks! Ugh! My 2 yr old is PISSED!! He is teething and so cranky and onery. I miss my happy snuggly baby. I can not get anything done. He is either crying, grouching, and following me around and or climbing on me and always wanting to fight and throw things. I can't clip coupons or be online for more than a few before he is climbing on me beating me up. Ugh! lol He constantly wants to be held, played with, read to, or have me sit and watch Scooby Doo with him for hours. Gosh he is so exhausting! And I desperately need to get out shopping. We are out of all things fresh and meats.

Oh and evicting people suck! The renter we want to evict is still downstairs. DH placed an ad and he got a few calls, he even showed the place to one guy. The renter called the bishop and had the bishop visiting him for over 2 hours last night, the church has paid part of his rent for him a few times. Ugh! Did I mention I HATE renting! DH is so stressed out he had been getting sick, you know that sickness you get from stress, exhaustion, upset tummy, stress headache. The renter actually had the balls to say to DH 'So you are putting me and Emma (his 3 yr old that he has been watching for his soon to be ex wife so she doesn't have to pay daycare) on the streets?' OMG!!! I was so pissed, on the 5th we will all be evicted! He is putting our family on the streets by not paying rent! We rent and then re-rent the basement apt.

I was so pissed when he tried to lay that guilt on DH! I went down there to snap a few pics so we could place the ad and told him he is the one putting us all on the streets! He told me he would pay as much as he could and then move out on the 5th but apparently he is going to try to stay and that is why he had the bishop come over. After he mentions all he had to eat the whole day yesterday was a box of powdered donuts with jelly in the middle. OMG get a job then!!! Why is it up to the us and everyone else to support a 45 yr old man?!?!

I wish our other house that we own but are renting out was bigger so that we could just move back into it. Well and everything would fall into place so we could move away from here.

hopefully when i go to the orthopedic surgeon on friday, i can pop into store. there's one next door. my shoulder and chest have really been acting up today. nerve pain down arm, shoulder throbbing, difficulty breathing. no fun. i am eagerly awaiting that appt.
Hope you get the news you are on the mend and doing good. I hope you are able to get to go shopping. WW

Ok... I have this cruddy ass cold stuff going on... so mentally I am impaired LMAO YUCK!! I need it to go bye bye lol Will sign for more chat once I get better!!
Oh YUCK! Hope you all get better quick, our yuck lasted more than a week, ugh.
Quote from TheGh0st :
Actually getting out would be worse if I hadn't had the foresight to open the storm door every half hour or so, as there is now a 4 foot snow drift right in front of our door with a little crescent shaped clearing. I will still have to dig out to get off the porch but at least I can open the door. Of course I was still too lazy to go out and shovel a path to the cars every hour like I did through the last big storm we had.

Oddly enough I am actually bummed we didn't get the full brunt of the storm. I kind of feel like if we are going to get hammered it might as well be a record breaking 2 footer like some to the east of us got.
Good luck getting out. We are still expecting a snow storm, hopefully it won't be to bad. We have just had the bitter cold. It was -2 when DH took the girls to school the other day. It has not been above freezing in over a week! At least it was 16 when he took them today so it is getting warmer :cold: if you can call 16 warmer, not really!

Today when I pulled up this thread, I got the following message from my computer:

"To help protect your security, Internet Explorer blocked this site from downloading files to your computer."

WTH? I haven't changed any settings, and I've been doing fine with SD. Did something change? What the hell is this file?
I got the same thing the few times I tried to get on yesterday. Seems to be gone today though, must be fixed.

I know I am, just need the Keurig, or maybe one of those french press you all talk about. I need something! Maybe I should get the Mr Coffee out of the box, so I don't need a filter then? I have a few packs of the Starbucks coffee, but I don't know how to make coffee, lol. I've just never made it except in a hotel. I don't know if I have what I need to sweeten it either, just milk, no cream. DH is supposed to pick me up a refill, or maybe I will go grab one. DS is so stinking cranky and he is not going down for his naps like he used to so for three days I have taken him for a drive to get him to sleep and then try to get him inside with out waking him up, usually doesn't work. He wakes up still mad and cranky and saying 'teeth hurt!' I can't get ambisol any where near his teeth, if I want to keep my fingers that is.
Quote from megnsamsgrace :
I absolutely agree 100%!! This has been a $hitty road but I am almost done and I am so much better off. I have had 7 DCF referrals all from him... all came back unsubstantiated but still having to deal with it SUCKS! He just doesnt want to pay child support! I just finally got a call yesterday that the last referral was again unsubstantiated and they are completely closing my case. The supervisor I spoke to said that she knows its a bitter divorce and they are tired of him using DCF to get back at me... Well duh.. but why isnt he being charged with filing a false claim?? Geesh, 7 referrals all false since 11/09 and he can keep doing it? Give me a freaking break!

Okay.. enough venting.. out to Target shop :)
I hope you had STFC runs!! I am so glad they closed the case, finally. Yes they should charge him with filing a false claim! That is insane and such a waste of time that could be better spent actually saving a child that is in danger.
Quote from ank220 :
My little Miss M sounds awful - congested, froggy, blah. She's a bit cranky too (not that we all aren't around here!)

I am still  Made an appt. for Monday.

Overall, we are just lazing around today. I should be happy about that - right??
Awe, poor baby, that ickness is sure making it's way around! I hope they can figure out what is going on with you on Monday, I remember GG had some great suggestions to go over with the Dr. take those with you. I know if it were me, even if I remembered in the waiting roon I would forget as soon as I was talking to the Dr and then remember as I was getting in my car. lol, it always happens unless I write it down. The kids have ruined my brain! At least that is my claim llmao! And enjoy your down time, it is hard sometimes but just try to relax while you can and stay all snuggled up at home. It is a crazy world out there.

little bit naughty periodically is fine as long as you keep working at it. we all need to take a break every once in awhile.

all work and no play makes jack a dull boy.

anyway, just beef and no noodles would be boooring. beef is yummy, but just beef is tiring. you didn't happen to throw some carrots, turnip, parsnips or rutabaga in there did ya ? oh, and btw, i don't really recall eating parsnips or rutabaga ever either. not intentionally anyway.
I had to think what a parsnip or rutabaga even is, I have no idea on the rutabaga or if I have ever eaten one but IIRC the parsnip is a yellow carrot type thing. Yeah, we need to widen our veggie horizion. Sometimes though, I just sit and look at unfamiliar veggies in the produce and just wonder what you do with them or how to cook them and then I end up leaving them behind, I end up thinking we have very limited funds and don't want to waste money on veggie that turns out gross or unexpected flavor and no one eats it vs veggies I know they will eat.

Oh, and an update on the nephew. They are starting him on steroids this week, then will progress to chemo once a bone marrow donor is found. Went to register as a donor, and I weigh too much. DS is under 18, so won't allow that either. The team is very optimistic about finding a match, tho.
 they find a donor soon.

We aren't doing the 3d us. Didn't do it with JJ. We had enough regular us's due to my third trimester issues and this pregnancy I get to see this little guy every 4-6 weeks when I go to the hospital to see the maternal & fetal medicine specialist.

Knock on wood, everything is going well this pregnancy.
We never did the 3D either, I had wanted to but we didn't have the funds. I am so glad everything is going well this time around.

Oh man, I should check the wags thread we could use some Melatonin and Cottonelle, I try to get the kids Cottonelle, they don;t plug up the toilets with it like they do Charmin. Ugh! I will not let them use Charmin!

I don't have a ST, just a PF fresh or whatever they call it. I am super happy we have it now, bc its nice to get some meats and fruits from there. Though I sure do wish they would be bring the produce Q back! Or maybe a nice Meat Q
Be sure to keep checking the meats, T will put their own TQs on the meats when they are getting close to date for $1 to $3 off. Just a few weeks ago they had those stickers on a variety of meats including GoldnPlump so I was able to at a MQ to their sticker TQ and it was a great price.

Grandma is comatose but still hanging in there. My MIL says she makes this sound that she calls a "death rattle" - lots of congestion and such rolling around in her chest. It sounds awful and I am so sad for the family - but at least they are all together right now.
Sending many hugs and prayers, I remember when my sis called me so I could say bye to Grandma and she was doing the death rattle thing. It wasn't long after that that she passed. My heart goes out to you and DH and the family. It is hard but the one thought I kept thinking was that she was not in pain any longer.

She has a really good eye, those are cute pics and you have very beautiful children.

We haven't had poop talk in a while, my lil guy is also cranky because he hasn't pooped, or at least DH thinks so. I have been feeding him applesauce and giving him applejuice. Any thing else? Usually we would have to be careful how much juice we give him because he would get the runs. He hasn't pooped in almost two days, I know he will have to today, or at least he should.

We just gave DS who is 2 a few of the 2-5 Lego sets for his bday and he realy seems to like them. At least for a few minutes at a time. He does stack them together and then he plays with the car or buzz lightyear. He gets bored pretty quickly but will play with them for longer if his older sisters are playing with him.

I heart rutabagas and parsnips. You can mash 'em, boil 'em, etc... My favourite way to eat a rutabaga is after it's been boiled with some salt pork - but that's probably not that healthy. laugh out loud

yep, these say they are for the Keurig on the box and are sold with other Keurig products nod

My son is 9.5 and started with Legos around age 6 or 7. He got obsessed with them around age 8. His room is COVERED in Legos Doh DD is 6 and she plays with them just because her brother is Smilie She would rather play with her dolls, Vtech, dinosaurs, etc. though Smilie He's prolly just a little young to get interested in such a tedious activity. DD would never have sat down and played Legos at 3. She was a spaz at that age Roll

My kids just recently started playing with legos..they are 4-1/2...They would play with Trio at times but they played the most with a small lego block table that we have...

But I would say enjoy the time that your Ds is not interested in legos..it wouldn't be long before they take over the house, will have a trail from living room to bedroom and no matter how many times you clean up, you will always find an itty bitty tiny piece of lego somewhere...And the worst part is they multiply at night...

I just need a parenting group hug today.. Been a mom to teenagers is the suck.. well, especially to one of mine.. It has been a rough day.. Arguing, tears, and I am just kinda at a loss for what to do to shake my son.. He is so laid back with such an "I don't give a care about anything attitude" and I can't take it Frown I need a vacation and soon!

Lets see, other than fighting with my oldest today, I have changed clothes and sheets on the bed from the pee accident this morning.. attempted baking cookies and 3 of 5 pans I overcooked. Haven't gotten my house clean yet and we have company coming over tonight.. And, I haven't been to target in what seems like foreverCrying2 AND, I was so excited about trying my new torani syrups, and I didn't like it at all.. Next time, I will stick with vanilla next time..

As far as the kraft coupons.. I did get to use some at publix.. grabbed several peanuts, some pickles, some taco bell stuff, and 2 packs of the already cooked bacon.. Regular OM bacon at publix was 6.69 a pack EEK! I sure wish those coupons would have had a longer expiration date..

Gator - I think your DS may be a little young, or it possible he may be one who doesn't really get into legos until much older if at all.. Out of my boys, only one of them played with legos really.. The other one only liked it when he was much older and built with the fancy sets.. My oldest DD didn't like them at all, but my 3 year old has been playing with the trios for over a year now and loves them.

Ank- your girls are very pretty!

kay - hug thinking of you today

Hope everyone is having a good day... On the positive note.. I am super excited cause my sister is coming in town tomorrow.. I haven't seen her in a year and a half bounce woot
She is gonna be here a few days, and I doubt I will be getting much sleep or shopping done Smilie

About 45 minutes from the disney area. Middle of the state. We used to stay at a lake right near there every summer when I was growing up.

We have the duplo blocks and Cole has played with those since he was about 18 months. When he was about 2.5 he found a box of DH's old Legos that his mom had saved and gave to me. Once he discovered those there was no going back to the duplos. laugh out loud When he was 3 we had a Lego party for him. Now the baby plays with the duplos a little when I pull them out.

ank - beautiful kiddos!

Had to take the baby for her 15 month check up today. 3 shots. Bleh... I did however find a pile of babytalk magazines in the waiting room with $10 amazon codes in it. Evil

At birth. Ok, maybe it was a little later than that but he wasn't a year old. I distinctly remember that because I used his first birthday money to buy him more duplos. We must have had a few around -- I probably got them at a yard sale and he played and played with what few he had. And he played with them for year -- as in he was in college at 14 and he was still building stuff because I remember teasing him about it. "Put your Legos away and do your term paper". laugh out loud He just turned 24 and we have them packed up and saved. And let me tell ya... if he has kids, I am delivering Legos to them one handful at a time. Dropped on the floor as I leave.

awww! hug!

maybe he needs to talk to somebody a little bit older than him that he can relate to. i know sometimes they think you are too old, you don't understand, you cannot relate, etc. he doesn't understand that the more things change, the more they stay the same. that will just take time and experience. is there someone who maybe just graduated from college that he could talk to that's not an authority figure? more like a peer but been there, done that.

i remember taking my little suburbia cousin into the city and showing him around. he was so scared he was going to get mugged, blah, blah, blah. we had such a good time and he learned if he wanted a nicer life he needed to get a job and work hard for it. he definitely changed from his friends. they would be the kind you see on *jersey shore* but at the clubs in belmar instead of seaside heights. he wouldn't even recommend them for job opportunities when my friends were looking to hire.

you can just try your best but obviously you need a little break.

i didn't use any kraft q's EEK!. ok, have to get out of here or i'll get stuck in traffic!

But, I did go extol the virtues of grits.
