Sounds like you are super busy but fun...

All the new mags do not have coupons in them so it's just what is left out there. Went hunting but no luck today

Furbabes are still doing well and Bgirl can fully hear my loud mouth again. What a blessing that is for us.
She has had no seizures so hopefully this new med will keep on working.

Bboy is doing fine also. His leg is still bothersome but we think the laser treatments are helping.

Mom has been acting strange once again. Staring at the ceiling and choking on her food again but who knows.
WOW So happy about furbabes!!!!!

Sorry mom is out of it... I will Pray

My hubby's partner's wife woke up Thurs morning complaining of an awful headache. Minutes later she collapsed and was rush to the hospital. It was a brain aneurysm and she passed away early afternoon today.
It is also her birthday and today she would have been 51 years old. No warning at all...

Needless to say dh will head up to CT for a few days. We thought it best that I stay here to keep an eye on the pups.

It was such shocking news
OMG. so sorry to hear this.

What a Monday! The girl at work is still mad...and just wants to have a pitty party! I guess maybe she wants to see me mad...that hasn't happened in a long time!

I get a call at work right away this morning from the dad of one of my daughter's x-friends. (Did I tell you about the friend of hers that stole from her?) Well, he just found out about it and wanted to tell us that he was sorry it happened...DRAMA...

Thanks for all of the tips with DS's friend. I fully understand poverty/child neglect etc since that is part of my world at work...my DH on the other hand didn't even notice the comments or the situation yesterday. I did send him home with a sack of goodies to share with his sisters since they didn't get to stay overnight...just in case!

Kids went back to school today and I think I am going to have some drinks at home tonight!

Watched a bunch of Hoarding: Buried Alive reruns. Makes me feel like a good housekeeper and at the same time secretly concerned that I may become one of them someday with my Target bags. Teehee

Mama can dance to Christian music too I used to vacuum to Mylon LeFevre and Broken Heart in my college days.

I've seen Mark before too. He was the headliner for a Christian music weekend in Athens a few years ago.
Quote from wildcouponlady :
I'm still dancing to it. Still have CD's that are 10 plus years old and the message is still the same.
I seem to gravitate towards less contemporary Christian, I dunno why - I like traditional songs/music in that regard. Maybe just lack of exposure...our radio station does a lot of praise and worship songs like you'd hear in church, but, admittedly I don't listen to that station as much as I should. The kids kind of run the radio and happen to listen to what I always listened to so I suppose, like mother, like daughter. Embarrassment

Quote from chrrrrris :
Oh, I didn't mean that! I knew you weren't critisizing. I want to dress it up. It just occurred to me how bologna is not a normal wedding food. lol I was a little shocked myself when they first said it.
No, no - I knew you weren't being critical, I just hoped you knew I wasn't criticizing you either. hug Together, we'll get this thing done.

Quote from chrrrrris :
Love Mark! WE saw him at Lifelight and it was great! Got his autograph too for Katie and one for her dad. .
He came up behind me (I was standing in the doorway so I could manage the product tables at the same time, the girls were up front) and started chatting while the openers played. At first, no one knew who I was talking to, I could tell Big Grin Which seemed to be his style. We talked for a song and then he came back and asked me if I had any ibuprofen. Roll He walked away with his very own bottle.

Christianity Today called Jason Gray the "best kept secret in Christian music" and he was a hoot, too. He came up after the concert to the tables and was talking to people and then they all 3 went over to sign autographs for people. The girls got their autographs and a personal thank you for helping them sell merchandise. nod

After clean-up we were heading out and Jason was in the hallway talking with one of their people and thanked us again, shook hands with me and high-fived the girls - they talked about it all the way home. LOL

That does sound suspicious.

You sound like my sister. She spent the whole weekend uploading/ordering and she is not half done I hear. <---Needs a print deal desperately.

On a different note, years ago dh and I saw the cutest little watermelon bathing suit, and we said if we ever have another girl, we'll have to get it for her! http://www.cookieskids.com/Product.aspx?l=00190067026800000000&p=IAP01272

I figure if anyone could find it, you guys could!
Does it look exactly like that or are you just showing us an idea? Where were you when you saw it? (mall, online, resale shop, etc) Sorry you're sick Comfort

Sup? I have the batting lineups all set for softball. I also have the practice schedule defined. In the first three practices I want the girls to learn how to throw, catch, run, bat, and field. 3 hours will be plenty for that. Heck, maybe we can get it all done in 2 hours and we can spend that extra hour telling jokes. 7 year olds telling jokes... Just doesn't get much better than that.
laugh out loud Lots of knock-knock!

Ugg. This is going to be a relly sucky week! Df is officially done with wiork on Wed, and Hes so stressed out. I was doing fine, until he flipped out last night on spending $5 on a raffle ticket from the neighbor kid. Now im really stressed. I keep track of all the finances, and when i sat down and looked at it it seemed to me we were only going to be $100 short a month (which can be taken from savings for a while) and thats not including any unemployment he gets. But now im starting to worry i forgot something or he knows something I dont (he says no). Saturday wont be here fast enough, I just want to go back to bed.

I hear ya, and no, you aren't wrong - hours are hours regardless if you are salary or not. Yes I can understand altering if you worked late another time but it still needs to be approved with your supervisor. There are times when being on salary is a great advantage for the employee but when you start taking advantage of it too much is when you get yourself into trouble...............
I see she is still pissed today, hope she gets over it in a hurry because she is wrong!!!

OK ladies, any ideas?

I am thinking about DS reception. colors are pink and blue. The reception is an open house 2-6 on a Saturday. I am renting the senior center for it. At most 100 people invited and that is a big stretch I am sure. I have some votive holders I can put on the tables. Where is a good place for cheap votives? They have a few vases with flowers and ribbons I guess. What else can I put on the tables? Where get table cloths? I was thinking the York peppermint bits that look like blue and white m&ms. Didn't get any after Valentines pink/red m&ms Frown Also food. They are making maccaroni salad and balogna sandwiches (because they have balogna) that they will cut in triangles like finger sanwiches. I have some hot dogs from a recent sale that I could make or cut up with BBQ sauce. They have chips. and punch. What else could we do that is cheap not too much work and nice to make this special for them? You can throw out lots of ideas and I can just ponder and talk to them about it. Don't be offended if we don't do it but thanks in advance for the help.
Don't have any grand ideas other than what was already mentioned. Hope things go well for you!

It's never a dull moment

Maybe instead of the sandwiches...Use the bologna and some others with cheese and make a meat platter so people can make their own.

Nothing for me

A bbq is a great idea...They have the mac salad already, add some baked beans, a cold corn salad and rolls and there is a nice buffet

Doesn't the Purex expire tomorrow?

YEP! Posted earlier...I had fun with them today

Can't you get teddies at T? I also think you can find a small t'shirt to put on the teddy...
Then you can sew, applique..whatever you want on the tee...Or...Use Iron-On transfers...Wink
Now that I think of it, you can probably buy all this stuff at Joanns or Michaels with q's, even the teddies
hug So happy to hear the furbabes are still doing well. Will send up a prayer for mom.

So DS had his first soccer game today. We took some portrait pictures of him in his uniform in the backyard. These are my favorite. One of him and one of DD waiting for me to finish. I got to break out my big telephoto lens for the game. Haven't used that sucker in years. Oh, and I totally need to take a class on taking pics in bright, harsh sunlight. Does anyone have any tips on that? It is the one thing I struggle with all the time. I took a ton of beach pics yesterday and some are pretty good and some are crap. Damn sun.
Those pictures are really great!!!! Helps when you have adorable children to work with!

So we had a good anniversary weekend. I'm still a little bummed that we didn't end up getting to go anywhere exciting, but I'll get over it, especially if things work out with the little bean. We were going to go to Las Vegas so I was watching tickets to plan a trip and then once we found out I was pregnant decided maybe I shouldn't fly with my history and also we thought maybe we should save the money for medical bills & when I'm not working. Anyway, we had a relaxing weekend in Omaha instead. Saw a movie, did some shopping and saw some friends that lived there. Our hotel was great - a Marriott I got on name your own prince on Priceline. Yesterday was fabulous weather so we got our garden all cleaned out and ready for planting. It was so nice to spend some time outside with the kids!

Been working on diaper cakes for decorations for a friend's baby shower this coming Sunday. Almost finished, just have to make bows for 4 more of them. Maybe I'll attach a picture..............

Love these! The weather was great on Saturday up here...yesterday was rainy all day!

Sounds like a great anniversary! I forget how far along your "bean crop" is??? Why does this amuse me today? I guess it might be since spring fever is in the air and the farmers are getting ready to go planting! Let's not hope for bushels of beans...one will do even though the prices are high!

My dad just keeps buying cards too LOL It makes sense though b/c he really does not need to print them so it works out. Cheaper than printing really, when you think about it.

I was joking about the wiki - we are all supposed to be keeping things picked up in there but we like chatting too much apparently. laugh out loud

I forgot to mention it here, but J was a sweetheart at the baby shower. He came along (even though it was all women) to help with Sophia. She wanted to go, but I didn't want the challenge of keeping her entertained during it all. Well other kids showed up too (another 4 yo, a 5 yo, and a 19 month old) and he was amazing with all of them! Even fed the 19 month old her snack of yogurt, so that my friend could be a part of the party! heart I need to do something for him to let him know how much I appreciate him!

Bean is 8 weeks today..........seems like an eternity already because of my nervousness with it all...........I can hardly think of 32 more weeks of this! Of course hopefully after 13 or 14 I will hopefully be a little more at ease. And yes, one will do! I have another appt. on Wednesday afternoon so hopefully things will go well that day and I will be a little less worried about it for a day or two anyway. Thanks for asking!

and I LOVE the diaper cake!! How cute! Do you have enough? We are moving out of size 1's and have some left in the bag if you need 'em. 'Bout half a jumbo pack.
I am good on diapers but thanks for the offer. Thanks for the compliments!
Wondering about K too...........

LOve diaper cakes are adorable!! hug

Thanks! Glad everyone approves of the diaper cakes, hopefully the mommy to be and guests will like them as well!

Didn't know you were having a shower, how fun! Glad J was a star daddy helping out with the kids! What goodies did you get???? Do tell!!!

Yeah, the shower thing was an akward situation that turned out great! My MIL kept insisting on throwing me one, even though I wasn't sure I wanted one. Then at my SIL shower, she made a big 'to do' about how she was throwing me a shower, so I felt that I had to let her. I thought it was gonna be a damned if you do, damned if you don't kinda situation (my MIL always stresses about these kinda things, so I didn't want to put more stress on her), but it didn't turn out that way at all. She didn't seemed stressed, and I had a great time getting together with some friends and family. heart I got a lot of clothing! laugh out loud And then some of the things off my registry. My step MIL and FIL weren't able to make it, so they came over last night and dropped off their gifts last night. They got us the jumperoo and the temporal thermometer we wanted. heart I am truly feeling blessed lately! I have some pics up on FB from the shower! nod
