Nothing new with mom. Was there yesterday and today and she was peacefully sleeping.
Still not eating much and I don't think that is going to change. It's a wait and see and it's eating me up inside and hard to talk about.
I wish I knew God's plan
Having a bit of a problem with dh right now on top of everything else. He is not understanding why I am choosing not to supplement her eating and I am tired of explaining myself.
This comes from a man who has seen her 1/2 dozen times in the last few years because "he" can't handle it. He has no concept of what goes on inside of me the 3-4 days I week I spend a few hours there. I am doing the best I can and what I think she would want. The rest is out of my hands...

I am sooo sorry that your DH is being an ass! Sorry, but he is. This is a decision that he should be supporting you in, as you would know your mom better than he. I know these decisions are some of the hardest in life, so you do what your gut tells you is right! Try not to second guess yourself and NEVER feel the need to justify it to someone else. God will guide you in these decisions and that will help.
I wish I were there to help you, or at least offer a hug!

I have been reading up the last few days and know I have missed a bunch of stuff I wanted to comment on, and will have to get that done, but for the moment I remember these:
Chris- I saw the wedding pics on FB and am so happy things went well for them. You did a great job and I know you made the day perfect for them.
Kootz - NEVER shut up! I've dumped many times and I certainly expect the same from everyone else and that includes you! We all need support sometimes and I for one am more than happy to do whatever I can to help you through this. I'm sorry to hear that DH is not being very supportive. I know this is an awful decision for you and you are doing the best you can. You are doing what you believe mom would want you to do and I believe that is the best decision. Please do keep us informed. I'm keeping you and mom in my prayers.
Ariel - Loved the maternity pics! It is a beautiful way to document your pregnancy.

Question - Have any of you downloaded any free computer games for kids? I took my old computer & my brother's old computer and was able to make one working computer out of the deal. I'm going to let the kids use it for games. It does have online access but I was thinking since it is still old it would be faster to download games and run them on the machine rather than to have them play online games. Anyway, I'm looking for learning games to download that would be free. Anyone have any site suggestions or game suggestions? Right now I'm looking at Preschool to 1st or 2nd grade level.

We are a major gaming house. Kidzui is a browser that you can download and then your kids can use it and you can be sure that everything has been approved as kid friendly. My DD loves clubpenquin and pixiehollow. Poptropica is also a good educational game that the company my DH works for has created but you might have to play with them. I just read your post again and I don't know if you download any of those games but you might try and see if your computer will run them.

I moved home from a job I loved in NoVa to care for my Dad with Parkinson's Disease. For over 6 years I either drove home or flew home every 3 weeks to care for him over a weekend. I've never regretted the time I spent with him. I finally moved home after I couldn't take the travel back and forth anymore. He died the day before I turned 40.
I have been reading up the last few days and know I have missed a bunch of stuff I wanted to comment on, and will have to get that done, but for the moment I remember these:

Played golf today in 40 mph winds...good grief! Now we are under a tornado watch for the rest of the night...starting to thunder now...ICK! Spring is not my fav time of year.

I was sort of in the same situation but was not working. My bro and sis were trying to do the best they can with Mom in CT and I would go back and forth from FL to take over. It became to much for everyone.
I made the decision in 2001 that I would take full responsibility of mom but I would move her to FL. It's been a long road but it's the least I can do for her after what she has done for me.
It just hurts so much seeing her the way she is as she really is a wondering kind caring person who always thought of others first. I wish I can do more than just hold her hand...
Thinking about Momma Kootz, and hoping her time is pain-free, and when she is sleeping, she is dreaming of her angel husband in heaven and angel daughter on earth.
K, don't ever apologize for dumping on this group. That's what friends are for! I think, after 51 years, I'm starting to realize that just putting on a happy face & pretending that all is perfect is NOT healthy for us. We need to let go of that notion...Here's hoping that DH finally understands what you are going through for so long. I wish I could just reach through the puter and give you a big hug.

Thanks and love to you all. I was so pissed last night at dh when I wrote that. Men sometimes do not think before they open their traps.
This morn was much better. He did not apologize for what he said but he did offer to go see mom while my sis and I are here on the beach in Melbourne for a few days of sun and country music.
He knows I was worried about both of us being gone but we are only 2 1/2 hours away. Told him there was no need as my girlfriend is working everyday I am gone. I'll see her on Sunday. I know he does not want to go but to make peace I know he would have if I agreed.
Anyway...NO
