i recommend that if you have any foreign language, esp chinese characters, that you check w/ somebody fluent in the language b4 you do it. i once saw a big guy w/ the word for *sky* (天) tattooed big on the side of his neck....upside down!!!!

then one time in some big store like walmart or somethin', i was w/ my mil and sil and some girl asked us what her tat meant. my mil said it was one of them was of the characters for *kung fu* but those 2 characters together didn't mean anything. basically her tat was gibberish. i don't think that's what she really wanted.

i hope it means something in japanese b/c they borrowed many chinese characters and over time how you used them has changed a bit, but really, this time i doubt it. the japanese use chinese characters when they are trying to convey more complex words and usually the combos and meanings stays pretty on track.



i am now the proud owner of 5 prs of almost free target jeans, no jeggings. 2 pr are exactly the same so i may return one, but for 1.24 i'm thinking i could leave them at sil's second home. she has suggested we leave some clothes there which could be a good idea in case we ever end up staying longer than planned or whatever. can't borrow nephew's clothing b/c he never brings enough clothes for himself. complained some of his tees were too big. teenagers! last time had to run to target and show him how to get c9 q's for himself so his mom would buy him some clothing he would wear !

I printed TQs on Sunday with the hopes of grocery shopping. They are still on my printer unclipped. JJ and I ran in and out of ST yesterday for a few things sans coupons :jawdrop : I need to pick up corned beef and fixins for tomorrow but think I'd rather give J a GC and tell him to go.

Anyone here have tattoos?? I just want something simple like maybe a butterfly or hearts on my hip I think. Any suggestions.... I'm getting nervous!!

2nd, I have 5 1/2 tattoos - they S.U.C.K! but all worth it in the end. (the 1/2 is: my newest one is a cover up - so I only have 5 tats to show for but sat thru the pain of 6) I have told my kids that if they want tats, especially visible ones they need to seriously think about it. IT, actually IT, the what, the where, the how big and imagine for at least a year about having it there FOREVER!!!!
I was just 16 when I got my 1st, and I by no means regret it but the guys at the shop knew I was underage and called 'the apprentice'' to come do my tattoo, his most likely first. - Yea, fun -- it is horrible, crooked, and I am scarred from his lack of experience but it is me. I made a mistake with the 2nd one - during college and my uhm ''experimental hullicinagenic days'' and that is the now 1/2 tat.
Other than making sure you really want it, I would say make it meaningful - People will forever ask you what it means. And go big, little bit tattoos are just silly. :cool :

that sucks, you should to relax and nest, put your feet up and sleep as much as possible. Let your DH finish off your Qs. I am lucky to have a DH that will do T runs too, if I make a list and get the coupons all in order for him first. But he will do it When he is in town and has time.

Mento's, jeans, Ronzoni pasta, Ibuprofen, Excedrin. Did you get the envi yet? I added a stamp but have been having anxiety the mailman is bringing it back (oh wait your addy was on teh return too, so either way it should have been there by now) or that it got stuck in the mail sorting machine and exploded 3.5 oz of MQ all over the mail room.

I have 7 professional tats (and a few unprofessional ones ) Here [facebook.com] are the pics of mine. They all mean something special to me and I don't really regret any of the designs I got. I do regret the artist I went to for one (the HK one), it was spring break and I didn't research my artist enough. The quality of that tat is much worse than the others. The ink she used must not have been the same quality as my cousins (who has done the rest of my tats and is a pro). My cousin has even tried to fix it, which did make it better, but it is still the least nice tat I have.
I agree with others, make sure its something you really want! Also, if I were you, I would look at designs on the net now and try and find something you want. The hip is a good area as far as pain level.



with the bolded!!! All mine can be covered up if needed, but are also easily visible, depending on what I want. With my profession, its important to be able to do it this way! Also my first tattoo is about the size of a quarter. My uncle and cousin (tat artists) said I would regret getting it so small and I do. It just looks silly on my hip, being so small.



I have had many piercings as well and I didn't think the tongue hurt at all!? I mean it was difficult to eat afterward and the swelling sucked, but not the actual piercing.

My tongue is double pierced. I 1st one didn't hurt but the 2nd one did because it went thru scar tissue from the 1st. Now the nape of my neck hurt like a Mudder Fugger! I had no idea what to expect, at a Tattoo convention, laying on a banquet table in the ballroom of a big hotel. OMFG!

We have had the piercing conversation before. I should totally do a FB album of my tattoos, Dh and I got matching tattoos for our anniversary not so long ago. Two different artists at the same time and each put thier own spin on it.

Yeah my eyebrow didn't hurt the first time either, but when they re-pierced thru scar tissue, that hurt, not my most painful piecing, but pretty up there!
