There is no such thing as a too fat noodle. We like 'em fat and chewy. Hmmm, I hope you weren't expecting anything at all like dried noodles in the bag from the store.

I usually end up with too dang many noodles and not enough broth. I don't thicken it, it does a little on it's own just from the extra flour on the noodles. The amount of meat is up to you. We don't really want much (if any) meat in ours but we are a little weird. A lot of people eat them over mashed potatoes. Hubby and I don't but both set of parents did. So, how were they?
Nope, I've made homemade noodles before from memory (back when I had one). I'd never made BEEF and noodles and I couldn't remember most of the noodle part laugh out loud So your instructions were greatly appreciated worship

They were delish and I served them over mashed potatoes b/c well, you can never have too much starch in one meal. Coverlaugh

I'm interested!

And PDD NOS is a biggie for IEP's - I don't know one kid with that diagnosis who doesn't have one so they are in for a surprise there if they are planning to cut him off of services.

in other words, was couponing self-taught or was it passed down from your parents?
Self-taught totally but my dad is one of the cheapest people on earth. I say one of b/c I've heard some real horror stories and we aren't there. Yet.

Jamie, hug thinking of you guys! I actually have my dd's IEP today. She falls under PDD-NOS. I can't believe they'd be able to drop you guys. It's not like the 'disorder' part only kicks in at home Doh

DM: What happens in 4 days?

Hi everyone!

Has anyone submitted for the Free Tombstone Pizza w/ only the hasbro card games? They should work, right?

Has the PF $4.99 PM been fixed? I have been looking for them. Also found a huge display of GIllette BW at 1 store including new scents, but not a trace of them at 2 other stores. Weird.

Got an iphone 4 yesterday! Handed my hand me down 3G to DH. He is excited too! He is so easy to please but I am in heart

Going to the library for story time and then the beach after nap. It's already in the 90s here...no idea what I am going to do this summer; I forgot how hot it gets...

Have a great day everyone! Blowkiss

I wrote a letter requesting an IEE and I am sending or taking it to the special education director over the entire district. That should please them. I'm also going to see if the hospital has the records (mainly diagnosis) typed up and in medical records so I can get copies.

Tanner had a raging fit last night about 2 seconds after I posted that he was doing well. It was not fun but we did what the therapist said and IT WORKED!

(i was going to say mom's but i decided that was prejudiced.)

in other words, was couponing self-taught or was it passed down from your parents?

I grew up with a mother who couponed. My dad was a pastor, but supplemented income (with 11 kids, he had to!) with a couple paper routes. So she always had multiple sets of inserts. She was very selective, though - she only clipped the coupons she knew she would use and our family would consume. I loved to watch her process from start to finish - planning the grocery list, going through the ads to find the sales, matching the coupons, and then going shopping. She shopped the loss leaders at the main grocery stores in town (Weis, Giant/Martins, SuperFresh) and would take about 4-5 hours every Monday to get it all done. The whole process fascinated me. She had a very limited budget, and so would figure prices out to the penny, as to what was cheaper and where. We did buy in bulk sometimes, but mostly just shopped the grocery sales.

My mom did not have a very creative menu - she had her basics that she made and didn't venture too far from those. She did have a garden and we got a lot of produce from there.

So the short answer is yes, I was taught. Big Grin Now, it is definitely out of necessity, and I am SO thankful that my mom laid such a great foundation so that when it came time for me to do my own shopping, I knew what to do. And that was a run-on sentence!! laugh out loud

Jaden had a setback yesterday - I think he got water in his ear from his bath and it really hurt him. He seems better today, though still a little in pain. No pain meds since 4:30 this morning, so that's a definite plus. No more fever, so I am hoping he continues to improve so he can go back to school tomorrow. Today marks a full week he's been out of school. Faint

And somehow, despite me being bored and at home and eating everything in sight, I have lost 5lbs. Dontknow

Self taught. I don't think I ever saw my parents use a coupon. Not that we necessarily had a lot of $-- it just wasn't something they thought of to do. In 2006, there was a $1 Kelloggs TQ that allowed for free cereal cups. When I saw that you could get something for free, I was hooked. Getting free/cheap baby supplies is definitely a must for us, but couponing in general is a hobby for me. I like to think of it as shopping with a competitive edge. laugh out loud

I am sorry that he had a fit, but YAY that the recommendations worked!!!

I grew up in a military family, so we shopped 2x a month for groceries and I don't think I ever saw my mom using Q's. After I couldn't shop at the commissary anymore (and before SD) I used a Q here and there, and shopped mostly for what was on sale, but nothing like now. I got hooked when the TQ was out that would allow you to get free huggies wipes. Sophia was still in diapers and I was IN LOVE with getting her wipes for free! Then J was laid off and Qing became a necessity! Now I am somewhere in the middle. I could probably stop, but we wouldn't be living the life I am comfortable with if I did.

I am self-taught. I got hooked around 2007 or so when I could get things for free and actually make money doing rolling ECBs at CVS during the crazy October 07 deals Smilie

as for the phone, I want a review. My 3Gs is getting buggy and I'm trying to hold out for the 5!

Morning everyone ! Already went to the oral surgeon with my youngest son and had a molar extracted and now back home.. Poor thing looks swollen already Frown

hug for all those with sick kiddos or struggling kids.. Heck hug hug for the struggling moms..

I am a self taught couponer.. Used a *few* coupons off and on at the grocery store through the years.. I mean maybe 3 or 4 at a shopping trip.. Got started with CVS after my DD was born in 2008.. Started doing CVS deals to get cheaper diapers.. then I got hooked on the free body wash, deo, toothpaste, etc.. Got hooked on Target with the big pampers dipes/wipes deal of summer 2008 bounce She has been PT for over a year and I still have dipes and wipes in the attic Teehee

Hoping to throw together a yard sale this weekend. I really want to just toss some things out of the garage on a table in my yard on Friday.. location here sucks, but I figure it would be convenient.. I think Saturday we are gonna haul the stuff to another location..
