somebody from hot deals didn't know about the target deal thread and started a master target clearance thread in deals-
https://slickdeals.net/forums/showthread.php?t=2859679

naturally it's almost all electronics.

I give the clearance thread a week before it dies a lonely death because no one updates it. lol

Thanks for all the car tips everyone! So when I went to the bank for pre-approval, I decided I was going to try to refinance the house at the same time. Luckily I got approved for both loans! Bad news is that I need to get my house appraised and the appraiser is coming Monday afternoon! Major cleaning has to get done, which is going to be hard to find time because I am going out of town for Easter. I see a long night of cleaning in my future, I better stock up on caffeine!

All the Keurig MQs have been claimed. Smilie As soon as I get addies, I'll drop them in the mail.

Dreeme- Your daughter is adorable! I love the proper lady look.

Setsail- I'm up for other Ts too, just let me know what works for you.

Hope everyone has a great day, I'm finally tackling a massive pile of laundry to fold, put away, and then swap all 3 kids clothes out from winter to summer. EEK!

Noah woke @ 6 to eat and fall back asleep, JJ fussed (who am I kidding...screamed bloody murder) in his crib for 15 seconds then settled back into sleep. Mini Thrift is obvs still snoozing. Why oh why am I wide awake? I did enjoy a cup of coffee in silence and had a chance to chat with J in peace and quiet before he left for work. Now if the rest of the day could only go this smoothly I'd be on Cloud9 but I'm being realistic and know it'll be Barnum and Bailey around here in a bit! Teehee

Yesterday Mini started Easter break. She slept until 9:30 but by 3 she looks at me and asks, "How do you do it?! This is exhausting! All you do all day is change diapers and feed these kids." Roll Best abstinence program for her is her 2 baby brothers! Roll
I love those rare days.

And just be careful that it doesn't backfire with Mini! My oldest recently said "I don't know if I'll have kids... ever..." Frown Of course, I'm hoping she change her mind at some point... lol. But if not, I guess it's good I have other kids!

I am trying to get organized (and motivated really) for shopping. DH is snoozing and my oldest is doing her schoolwork. Toddler is watching wonderpets and baby is taking a short nap.

My toddler just came over tome and says: "Mommy, will you do me a favor?"

I said, "What is it?"

She said, "Get me a snack and I will eat it..."

laugh out loud

My toddler has been on my every nerve lately - testing everything and downright disobeying. Soooo... I've decided to really crack down on her behavior. We have been practicing obedience A LOT - and not just obedience - obedience immediately, completely, and with a happy heart. It seems to be coming along well, but man - it is totally exhausting.

i really commend you for starting early and making the effort. my friend has twin daughters and used to just give in b/c it was easier. now they are 9 yrs old and don't even listen to her, they just ignore her and she's constantly screaming. can you imagine how they'll be as teens?

btw- she has twin 3yr old boys also....

Good morning! More rain and gloom here. Yuck. I was doing so well getting my yard whipped into spring shape and then poof. No more outside weather. I have some Hyacinth beans sprouting in egg cartons under a grow light. Last year was the first time I grew those. Oh my, are they gorgeous. That's it growing over our bon fire wood that is in one of those upright metal racks. That was taken mid September so it was nearly done blooming. It had more blooms earlier and bloomed all summer.

Nothing exciting on today's agenda. I'm hoping I can convince DH to clean the damn basement this weekend. I don't care when we ever finish building the family room, I just want the construction zone clean. Well, that's not entirely true. Once it's done more crap goes bye bye. We are storing some odds and ends because they are going (or might go) in that room when it's done.Roll Eyes (Sarcastic) But once it is done, anything that isn't being used is leaving this property. FOREVER.

Do you know of any free game sites? I know about Free Game of the Week [sandlotgames.com]. I'm not a "gamer". I like hidden object games. I've been playing Atlantis and I'm tired of it. I got a few of the old freebie Big Fish games but nothing very recent.

He thought they were "old folks" cars.
We have a 10 year old Toyota Sienna and I don't have any intention of getting rid of it anytime soon. I said when we bought it we were driving it for 15 years -- and I meant it. I don't think vans are attractive either but it's roomy, convenient, and comfortable. With my kids grown, we can take out all but the front seats and have lots of space for whatever. Our next vehicle will probably be a truck. It won't be a car for sure. They just don't have enough space and nothing is comfortable for DH @ 6'2". His head hits the roof and a lot of them.

Here's one that's just a little different that the standard rice/cheese/broccoli. I really like it.... and it involves a vegetable!

Broccoli Hot Dish

1 (10 oz.) Package frozen Broccoli
1 stick melted butter
1 1/2 cups Minute Rice (uncooked)
1 (8 oz.) jar of Cheez Whiz
1 can Cream of Mushroom Soup
1 can Mushrooms
1 can Water Chestnuts
1/2 cup chopped Onion
1 cup chopped Celery

Mix it altogether and bake at 350 for 30 minutes.
Taking this to MIL's on Sunday! Thanks

they are saving money and being more conservative w/ sticking to the tried and true. unfortunately for them, many people shop gymboree to get stuff that's different from anywhere else like my bff.
ITA! I go out of my way, spend my very meager funds on adorable matching outfits for the kids b/c it truly makes me happy. When they put in so little effort into making them cute, that cuts into my happy time LOL

So cool you got to see the BEP in a private concert - you do the coolest stuff!

I kind of wish it would die down, but I also can't get over that girls nerve. She's got quite the cojones to do what she did. I would pee my pants if I did a crazy T run (I think you guys call it STFC) and taped it.
There is a big difference between what most TCC'rs consider STFC and what J'aimie does. For instance, yesterday I used a MQ & a TQ together, if the cashier would have allowed both legitimate coupons I would have accumulated some good overage and got my other stuff for free (STFC) but she noticed and adjusted them down. Don't assume we are doing something illegal. Mostly we are all just hoping all of our coupons go through exactly as they should without cashier "issues" because they hate on people getting stuff for free.

Thank you everyone, you don't know how much it means to have your support! I need all I can get...Monday is going to be a tough day...court for 1) getting an order for an amended tax return since the a$$ filed separate and claimed all 4 kids and 2) to get somewhere with custody! Me and the ex, our lawyers, guardian ad litem and 2 officers from family relations
Hang in there babe ((hugs)) Sounds like an expensive mess - hope this turns out in your favor hug

Yes our monkeys are Sammi and Jessie... they are actually less trouble than the kiddos LOL The kids are always into something lol

Our kids are: Kayla (8), Brianna (7), Caleb (6), Kaitlyn (5), Marianna (4), Yasmin (3), Jayden (1) will be 2 in May, Lillianna will be 1 this month in 8 days!!

Kayla is the "perfect" child except she never wants to clean up her mess... Brianna is a hyper, super smart kid... who is always into mischeif, Caleb is a whole 'nother story, he is ALWAYS in trouble in school, he harasses everyone except if he has video game in his hand, Kaitlyn is very passive, loves animals, thinks she is their mommy, loves to help out, all around sweet, Marianna is a little monster in the most petite body, she has you suckered in by her sweet looks, and is an angel until tired... then all hell breaks loose lol, Yasmin is my shadow... she wants to do everything with me... and to kiss me and be just like me. Jayden is a very passive easy going kid... and will eat everything in sight ALL the time. Lillianna is a very sweet easy going baby, she never cries!!

Ok you got a book lol
I never knew that! I figured your kids must be pretty close in age for you to have produced 8 of them in short order LOL Sounds like a bunch of fun!

DH met with an accident.. Thanking God that things are not serious.. but it could be otherwise worse if he drove seconds before or after..
He was making right turn, looked at left, turned right didn't notice truck making revere in the right lane. Truck was fast so was DH, since he was merging right uphill. His car did end up going under the truck (atleast front portion). Truck driver did use the break, but still car got pulled inside with DH inside the car while using the break all the way.
Actually cop called me to the spot coz DH was being attended in the ambulance. When i went to the spot, all I see was his car, which was totaled underneath the truck with 3 cop cars, an ambulance and DH was nowhere in the sight. I really thought I lost him..
DH has some minor injury, not serious. Thank god, thanking god for every moment...
Hugs for you and your DH - so glad he wasn't hurt worse than he was.

Hey Rachael - what's for supper? I have to run into town to the grocery store for their one day sale. I hate that. Why can't they have it Monday when I go to town anyway? But, they have butter for $1.99 lb. and it's been $3.59ish.
Lately it's been a soft pretzel in the microwave *hides*

I'm dieting and the kids seem to go 10 places at once and DH wants taquitos or something equally gross so I gave up which I do frequently LOL

I bought 10 packs of butter yesterday and I DID NOT notice a limit either!! Had my mother with me and she bought 10 lbs too - OOPS! I didn't even read the ad, I saw it was $1.99 on penny pinchin mama and ran with it!

Ummmmm, I don't want rain on your parade but since this is a new HyVee thing, I think you might want to know. Did your total seem a little high to you? The butter rang up at regular price, $3.25. Then it subtracted $1.26 but it only did it on the first one. All the others were full price.

Veggies did the same thing, I know that for sure because I screwed up. Cashier asked me if I realized that veggies were limit 4 and I didn't. I hadn't noticed that one. I had 5 pea and 5 green bean. I grabbed two cans to put back. Instead of grabbing one of each, I grabbed 2 peas. So 4 of my beans reduced to the sale price, 1 didn't.

Bastards. I like it better before when it all rang up sale price and they only stuck to the limits if they thought they might run out.

hug I'm sorry, I didn't mean to imply this. I should have done a better job of breaking down my 2 thoughts. My first was a comment on J'aime and the second was a comment on taping a good run. I didn't mean to imply any assumption or that they were close to the same. I would never want you guys to think I meant this group was like that woman, I don't. Sometimes, it's hard to get thoughts across in cyberspace and I didn't mean to offend. Sorry!

I was able enough to find enough Keurig MQ for 4 envies, the 3 who have PM'ed back with addies are in the mailbox. Enjoy! Smilie
