Know whats good ? Save your hot pepper juice, or pickel juice, and at the end of the season pick all your green cherry tomatoes, give 'em a quick wash in really hot water, 1/4 them and toss 'em in the jar. Keep 'em in the fridge for about 2 months then break them out !! I have a friend that has a Steak shop and he'll save me some gallon jars of juice from his hot pepper rings. I'll make 2 gallons of cherry toms like that.. they're good, crisp, tomato flavor with the hot pepper bite

Hot pepper juice and pickle juice is also great for hard boiled eggs, just add a little more vinegar. Ok, maybe a Wisconsin thing. But pickled eggs are huge around here!

Something else thats good is to take canned beets and put them in pickle juice for awhile!!!!

Just boil up a dozen eggs, put them in the juice. Let them sit in the fridge for about a month. Nummy! Once they are boiled and in brine, they don't spoil. Open jars can sit out for months! Seriously!

Pickeled eggs 'round here,, and probably has alot to do with lagre German/ Pa Dutch population, is...
doz hard boiled eggs
3 cans pickled beets with juice
one "can" vinegar or more ( we like apple cider vin)
3-4 Tablespoons sugar
..and I like to take a large onion cut in chunks and throw it in the mix.
