Just have to mention this since Hersheys chocolate came up in conversation. I don't know if this was a local thing or not but,, in this area we could buy boxes of Hershey bars to give out to celebrate a birth ( for those that don't like a good cigar). If it was a girl, the bars would have a sleeve with a cutout that would show the "she" in Hershey... they were plain bars. If it was a boy, the cutout would show the "He" in Hershey,, those were the bars with nuts

we have those too.. in fact.. I have one in the freezer that's about 19 years old from the birth of a friends daughter.

ah ha He has a female roomie at college,, she can't cook, he can. She buys food, he cooks, they eat !drool Home rules are simple, noise and music at a level so I don't get calls from neighbors. NO DAMAGE or there will be some a$$ kickin goin on, and nobody leaves driving if they have over-indulged. Not a problem he has good friends Smilie

Okay, so, MAYBE my ranting about the Subway Grab the Green Sweepstakes, over the past few days, is going to pay off (???). See post# 1476 [p.99] from yesterday.

Today, I received the following email from Customer Service (my 4th email from them):

Hello Ms. Ives,

We sincerely apologize again for the continued frustration and difficulties that you have experienced. Although the website is unfortunately still not working, we have just received work that the problem has been discovered and our technical team is currently working diligently to fix this error; our technical team has informed us that they are extremely close to successfully resolving the problem and that the code website should be up and working very shortly. Although we would love to extend the promotion, we are not legally permitted to do so; however, we have provided you with 6 complimentary codes (listed below) for you to play with while we wrap up this issue. Also, it appears that we do not have your mailing address, which would be problematic in the event that you do win a prize; we would appreciate it if you could please respond to this e-mail with your full name and mailing address. We apologize for the tremendous inconvenience but can assure you that you will be able to receive codes very soon. Feel free to contact us with any further questions.

1.) They have sent me 6 codes (probably no winners, but they did send them). Seeing as I can use 2 codes per day, I'm good for today, tomorrow, and Sunday -- Sunday being the last day of the sweepstakes. Mad So, although I wasn't given any codes for the 16th through the 20th, I was/will be able to enter codes for the 21st - the 24th.

Wink wow, lucky him! My son is rooming with a very nice young man he's known for awhile. He's a senior in the medical sciences program which my son is enrolled in. So, he'll make a good study partner anyway! We just took him to Florida with us for a week, his first time on the ocean, thought he was gonna sleep on the beach! They had a ball, we got to know him, the only draw back I could find is they are both kind of messy ( we had a 2 bedroom condo at the Marriott). THAT I'll have to shut my eyes to if I visit I guess. Neither is the "partying" type, so far, but at least my son chose to stay close to home. He was accepted at Penn State, U of Miami, and Boston U, so he could have been further out from "under my thumb"!OMG

"under your thumb" I doubt it would be a problem, he sounds like you did a great job with him. My son did PSU, community college during the summers, and now finishing up at PITT. He's a slob at home but neat at his apt at Pitt and my vacant rental here. That's my boy !LMAOLMAO

worshipWell, Your son sounds great! And you're actually the second person to tell me that once my son is in "his own place" he'll probably keep it neat as a pin. I'm of the philosophy that when mom's not there to pick up, it's a disaster. hope I'm wrong! Or, he'll prove me wrong. My older son cooks, cleans, sews, and can fend for himself if need be. His wife actually THANKED me once for how I raised him! This one is a bit more spoiled tho, I tended to just do it myself rather than wait for him. Ah well, we all learn! all I want for him is a good education, and a good start in life. he's headed the right way..
