I have been coming to Slickdeals for a long time...

Just recently I have begun frequenting this section of Slickdeals. I am a member of other boards relating to couponing also, and I have received nothing but welcome from these other boards. From reading these threads here at Slickdeals in this section daily for the the past several weeks, I am frankly afraid to post.

There seems to be a small group of people here that act like it is a crime if you don't know which thread to post in, the proper couponing etiquette, ask a question that may have been answered somewhere else, and basically anything they don't care for.

I have found quite a few awesome deals that I want to post and share here, but rarely do because of the behavior exhibited in these threads. Just food for thought. Try to remember you were once a newbie at this, and take care when you think about jumping down someone's throat.

Grow thicker skin. This board is a cakewalk...except for the Podium. Don't go in there EVAR! EEK!

This seems strange to me. I was told by OP that the people on forums page don't like newcomers, and would do their best to be hateful, rude and try to run you off, I did not quite believe this. Since OP and I were good friends at the time this post was put up , she definitely proved her point, in turn it made all the hateful comments directed at me prove she was right and made all you you that were so hateful a bunch of assho*** ! LOL, I never would have believed it if I hadn't seen it with my own two eyes. Have a great life and may GOD forgive you of your sins !

You've got it all wrong. The hateful comments don't make us assholes... we were assholes anyway, that's why we make hateful comments. You need to brush up on your logic.

Speaking of which, there is no god - you've got that one wrong also.

Iagree I once went to the podium and I was Cold I was sooooo stressed out, that I had to put on a new coat of frosting. /true story kinda.

so can one of the older members tell how the progression of the site went? in 04 i was more of a front pager type person. i don't think i even went to the forum til 06 or so. and reputation has to have changed. i get 4 now cause i'm an older member. thanks jen910

scratch that i def went to free magazine forum in 04 thats what drew me to the site

The lounge is a *different place* in slickdeals.

As for the deals in the grocery/drugstore B&M deals I wouldn't doubt they're a little annoyed. There has been a huge influx of newbies, especially after *that* show. The newbies tend to crap in threads and ask a lot of questions that could easily be answered if they actually read the thread. Kind of expecting deals to be spoon fed to them and ignoring forum and thread guidelines. And, most people will be pleasant, kind and tolerant when someone brand new does this a little...but when it's a lot and a whole lot of people are doing it I'm sure it gets on their nerves.
