A few years ago I saw something strange floating in the lagoon in my yard. I called animal control and it was a large dead sea turtle. they had a hard time netting it and they put it into the garbage can in the yard across the lagoon from me and they put the garbage can at the curb. they said it was really odd for it to come this far from the bay, as it is a 50 minute boat ride to the open bay from my house. A few days later, I saw it again floating. Called them and again they came and it was back into the water. Said this cannot be. I later found out that there was a worker hired by the man across the lagoon doing plumbing while the neighbor was away (just a summer person) and apparently when he went to throw the broken pipes into the can he found it and thought he was doing good by putting it back into the water again. I kept checking each day after that for a long time to make sure it was not back. Strange feeling to see that not once but twice. It is pretty desolate here in the winter months.

Did I ever tell you about the time I spent almost an hour trying to catch a possum in my kitchen so I could release it safely??? After I finally corralled it into the cat carrier I loaded it up into the car and took it to a nice area to release it. I opened the cat carrier and dumped it out and got back in the car to drive away. All of a sudden I heard a big crunch!!!!! I just sat there in shock and My son started busting up laughing at me!!!!
Um,....... Good luck with the catch and release thing!!! Hope its smarter than the possum
