Thanks...I managed to squeak in. The only time I get these is when you post them.
I hardly entered any sweeps yesterday. Desktop was unstable and kept crashing. Did a restore. but in the process, I messed up Norton. Was on the phone with a Norton tech for a good part of the day. Fixed Norton but system was again unstable this morning. Figured I better update the graphics driver that Sony told me about ages ago. Thought it would be too complicated, but it was a snap (if I did it correctly). Hope that resolves the issue. It's been a great computer these last 7 years. Will probably start looking to upgrade in the near future. I want another desktop.

We're dog sitting and Lucy woke me up at 7 (went to bed at 3). I jumped up, put on her leash, and immediately took her outside. She didn't go potty. I've taken her out two more times since, and nothing. Husband called and said he took her out before going to work and nothing. Wierd.

do you have a TD Bank near you (they used to be Commerce). They are pretty good with checks and stuff. I hope it is ok. How long will they take to clear it? Ask for a manager. I feel bad for you - so frustrating.

I don't think it's unusual for a check to take several days to clear, especially when it's such a large amount. However, it seems the customer service at your bank could be better. Moving is stressful...I hope it's all going well. Your new furniture will give your new place some zip. Keep a positive attitude like you have so far.

Did you go into the bank and speak with a manager? They should give you at least a portion of the funds right off the bat. After all, you'd be responsible for repaying the amount if the check were bogus. Go into your local branch and tell them you want access to your money.
