I started this thread for anyone who wants to come here for lite discussion, jokes, and just general discussion and fun.

Need some advice. Thought my desktop was all fixed but it's not okay, so I'm going to get a new one, probably this coming week. Mine is a Sony and has been terrific these past 7 years but I think I need to upgrade.
I want a desktop again and I want an Intel processor. Should I go for the i7 or is that too risky. I really don't want it to get outdated too soon. I'm one of those people who get attached to things and find it hard to let go.
Any strong feelings what brand I should get: HP, Gateway, Asus, Dell? Thought your own experience would help me decide. Plan to get it at BestBuy, Staples, or perhaps Tiger. I got my second computer from them over 10 years ago. Got the Sony from BestBuy.
I'll check back later. Will be gone for several hours.

do not get HP
Lenovo is also good choice. used to be IBM
