My 2 girls went to different colleges and they signed up for them at orientation. You do have to purchase them and they are not cheap. The school's IT peeps take care of any bugs too. My son starts this fall but he is going to a community college so he will prob just use the one he has.
Remember when we had to stand in lines to get our classes....
