I might pursue this further. I don't get ticked too often, but I am about this.
tell them that they insulted you and it was demeaning to you the way they conduct business. Tell them they owe you an apology and maybe a month of free service. If they balk at that tell them you want a discount for the next 6 months. tell them if you had an emergency you would have been out of luck. Now because of their actions you do not have confidence in them continuing to provided uninterrupted service.

Your hubby shouldn't balk at satellite dishes. That technology has been a boon living in a rural area. I would have been upset like you were. If you had an emergency, you could have had a huge problem. Poor customer service, for sure...you handled it with grace. Sleep tight!
