laugh out loud yeah but if there's bacteria on your lashes all the time, it's probably your own body germs that won't give you an infection. i think that's why it's only bad if you share with someone else - then you get their germs which your body doesn't like. seriously, i've never had an issue with any of my mascaras, even if they're like, 4 yrs old. (i know it sounds gross but i used to not use mascara much!)
I used to be the same way and never had problems nod There's going to be bacteria everywhere, no matter what. IMO, you can just do your best, within reason, and try not to worry too much nod

I agree. I don't worry about my mascara unless someone else uses it or pink eye is going around the house.

hmmm well i actually got my kitchenaid mixer for xmas from dbf i think the first year we were dating, so while i always wanted one, i didn't actually do the research for it. i have the pro 6 qt. i think for normal use, 5 qt is enough and the 6 qt bowl is a little big. i *think* the pro is better bc it can handle dough and comes with a dough hook (as long as you don't use it over speed 2 it'll be fine). i'm not sure if the artisan comes with dough ability and hook. i'm not really sure tho, tbh. all i know is, the pro ones have a lever that brings the bowl up to the mixer, while the artisan has the flip top. i'm not sure which is better.
mine was 300 on amazon, plus $50 rebate, so 250 AR. i think the artisan can be had for maybe 150-200 or so. you should probably do some comparisons to see what you'll use it for the most. i don't have any attachments yet so i haven't made use of it other than baking and making frosting for my cupcakes.
too expensive to be dust collectors laugh out loud i'd add kitchenaid to my deal alerts.

Went shopping today and to my first hockey game. I hated the game. Way too violent.

Limited was handing off $10 off any purchase (excludes markdowns). They are good thru the 29th.

i know you don't do anything unless you do intensive research laugh out loud i should just ask instead of starting up a research all over... what model would be the best bang for your buck, and do i have to stick to kitchenaid brand?
wave I want to chime in since I wanted it soooo badly, I love kitchen tools and gadgets so I was so thrilled to get it. I have 5 quart tilt head. The cheapest one is 4.5 quart and u can sometimes get it for $130 to $150 (refurb) through SD, otherwise around $150 and up. It is the lowest in power, so if you prefer to make cakes over cookies occasionally, this would be ok. 5 quart bowl is a little bigger and the the motor is a little more powerful. It usually go for around $220 and up. Then there is their pro series because of the motor is most powerful. Usually 4.5/5 quart deals comes form BB&B, kohls or shopkitchenaid. If you want to buy the pro series then I would look into costco, they have better deals on that around $325 and up. All of them comes with whisk, paddle and dough attachment. And then you can select if you want the tilt head or lift-bowl depending upon your counter space and interest. I don't really care for getting any other attachment since they run pretty expensive and I already own almost everything (the hoarder I am laugh out loud). I want to get their new attachments with spatula but don't want to spend that much. If you want to get it you have to be super fast on the deals, I didn't have any luck on SD for kitchenaid though, but somehow got super lucky in otherways Wink.

I got lucky in the most unbelivable way. I was just like you, didn't want to spend too much money.
Last year, I got on the JennAir stand mixer deal on SD for like $50. It was very heavy duty and super pretty stand mixer, since it has the glass bowl. So, I compromised on that. Well, it stopped working in November. I called their customer service to find out that they don't make it anymore since 2006. So, they just forward it to kitchenaid (supposedly JennAir is their High end brand), they apologized and asked me to forward the receipt to them, I did. The most I was expected that they will return my money but the next morning I got the call from them that which color I want and my address. I got the kitchenaid within a week worship.
