Why do you accuse people of having multiple accounts? Seems like a jerk off kind of move.

He clearly brings it up to explain that the excuse "I was just following orders" for defense originated from the Nazis and isn't a valid excuse to use excessive force in any situation. He was not comparing the two.
But, he was not only following orders, he was following police procedures. Do you understand the difference? Is it military procedure to commit genocide? Is that in any military manual? Of course, not!

So, I don't know how the Nazi or any military defense of "I was just following orders" would apply here. We're talking about police procedures. So, if ppl now disagree with those procedures, the police can make those changes after any uproar over its use. However, they shouldn't arbitrarily go punishing their officers after the fact for following procedures before those changes took place!

It's like the NFL fining its players for "vicious" hits that happened before the new rules took place which defined what "vicious" hits were. Prior, those were considered legal hits. But, the NFL then went back and retroactively applied the new rules for previous games!

You should learn to use punctuation before criticizing others on reading comprehension!

That said, he is still using that analogy to support his argument, which is rather extreme. And, just because you state that "I'm not equating the two" after you mention it in your argument does NOT mean that it takes away from the point that you're trying to make as far as relating the two.
The Nazis said they were just following orders.
People on this thread were saying Fat Cop was "following normal police procedure".

It's the same thing.. People are saying that Fat Cop is absolved of responsibility because he was following procedure. Fat Cop should've known that spraying that girl at close range with pepper spray when she was not a threat at all was excessive.

Z2g.. you are the one that needs reading comprension.

IMO, I bet if this was a cause people believed in on this forum, the same people saying the kids "got what was coming to them" would be outraged.

This is how our government has grown more oppressive and corrupt. The politicians now have people trained to cheer when nonviolent college students get pepper sprayed.. Sad state of affairs.

Let's see, the people in Libya were trying to disband their government and commited acts of violence (throwing rocks, etc). The Libyan government asked them to leave and sent troops in. The USA fully supported this protest.

The students were blocking a sidewalk.. OMG.. they might've disrupted a school activity.
(There's no evidence I saw where they were not allowing people to pass through).

So you are saying blocking a sidewalk is worse than trying to overthrow the government?
If so, you should run for congress laugh out loud
Again, totally different scenarios.

By the way, the Libyan government killed or try to kill those rebels. So, you're trying to "equate" pepper spray use with actual gun fire and machine guns? Okay....that makes a lot of sense!

What's up with that bleeding heart crap? Stupid useless farkers got what they deserved.

The only problem I have with using pepper spray is that you can't tell if they are crying because of that or just because they came to the realization that they are nothing but a drain on society and will never have anything to contribute themselves.

Dude......I have friends and family who are cops.
Big whoop, wanna fight about it? (if you do want to fight, leave the pepper spray at home)
Quote from z2g :
They had to get pepper sprayed as part of their training.
Oh yeah? Did they get sprayed liberally like the protestors did in the video? Was the can shaken up real good to ensure that the contents did not settle?
Quote from z2g :
I think from now on, the cops should use fart spray to deal with protesters who refuse to leave peacefully. Get really concentrated fart spray/bombs we used as kids. And, bomb the entire area.
Or they could use smoke bombs and aim for the head when they are shot at the crowd. That shit sure worked on that punk ass hippy "war veteran"

Yeah, they did. It was part of their training. My uncle filmed it when he was doing the sheriff's dept training.

The point of my story is that I have some background as far as the use of pepper spray. I know ppl who have had it shot in their eyes (for their training) and I've treated patients who got pepper spray in their eyes.

That was my point! LOL!!!!

Where within those rights does it say that you can stay on private property for as long as you like? Please tell me that.

Contact the school, they will tell you students have the right to peacefully protest on their campus.

Yes they tried to control the situation as to prevent people from getting out of hand. These kids were just trying to be martyrs. If they would have followed the law this issue would not have happened.
farkin' a, man. Rosa Parks should have moved her dumbass to the back of the bus. And she would have not complied, she should have been sprayed with an entire can of pepper spray.

You're not getting me. First of all, Americans' right to protest doesn't extend to private property. The protesting individual can still be arrested for trespassing if he/she is protesting on private property and doesn't leave when asked.

Secondly, the Davis students were camped out on the campus. The articles even stated that school officials told the students that protesting was fine. However, they told the students they couldn't camp out!

That would be the same if only whites were allowed to block the sidewalk. And all of the other races had to walk by. laugh out loud

You're trying to make a link between the Occupy Movement protests and the Civil Rights Movement?!?!?!? Come on now!
