Well it was an estate sale but kind of like a hoarders place. The lady and guy running it said there was about 1/4 of what had originally been in there. I got a big industrial westinghouse fan for $3 and an assortment of telegraph insulators an old glass clorox bottle for $4. My wife got an antique mirror they had priced at $25 for $10. she said she could tell by the glass it was old.

But nah, those guys are in it mostly for the money. I just like to collect cool old stuff that captures my interest. What it is worth after I get it is mostly irrelevant because I very seldom sell anything.
I don't want to test them here at home because my house still has fuses and it will be annoying if I have to replace any if the fans are shorted out. When I get a chance I will run them to my shop where all I would have to do is reset the breaker if it trips.

The Zero Fan is pretty cool - I hope you can get it running
We have a really old Walker Floor Jack we are just about to put up on CL's to get rid of,
and another old Floor Jack, we have no clue what make it is yet, that to is going up
on CL's, as we bought a brand new 3 ton Floor Jack recently - and I told hubby these
other two had to go I need him to get them out of the shed, so I can examine the
one we don't know what brand it is, so I can try to find out what it is.

This one belongs to someone else. I wish I had the handle for mine.
The only thing I haven't found is any more information on one like mine mounted on the platform with wheels. It doesn't look like a home-built thing--it does look manufactured but I haven't seen another one like it.

Also it appears to be a wealth of information if you are building or fixing up a garage of any type. Lots of good tool information and advice there as well.

Restored 1930's Auto Shop [garagejournal.com]
I would absolutely love to rescue a place like that with some local history and bring it back to an amazing shop like that. I haven't ever made it all the way through the thread, but he pictures and stories of the work put into it are fascinating.
