Base on what criterias do you rank people?

I'm going to put this out there first before asking this question. I believe that our brainpower lasts longer than our physical appearance. Almost every nice looking person in this world will one day grow old and become unattractive but brainpower is there with them until the day they die or acquire Alzheimer. With that being said and since I am in college right now I will start up with the college environment. Does anyone here rank people based on what their major are in college - kind of like the caste system? The more difficult major require higher rank in high school - meaning people who excelled in every class in high school are allowed admission to that specific major.
I'm curious about this because whenever I walk around campus, I always see people wearing shirts that may have one of the following phrases on them "College of Liberal Art, College of Natural Science, College of Engineering, College of Business." Does this mean that they want to be ranked based on their major?

If I find that I have a friend that constantly bashes other friends...I know to be more closed with them regarding my feelings and thoughts and that friendship usually doesn't last very long.
People that often put down others for whatever reason...I lose respect for them.
Some are born with all the keys necessary to access all sorts of knowledge while others are born with limited amount of keys so they don't have the potential to unlock all the necessary doors to knowledge that may help them move up in society.
When you apply for that six figure job, and your resume is filled with misspellings and nonsensical sentences........AS LONG AS YOU GET THE GENERAL IDEA ACROSS...they won't just hire you, they will make you the CEO on the spot!!!!!!

I tend to let them know about themselves when they are rude....with the intentions of defending what is right.
I have somewhat of a tolerance level
