With so much love for Tebow on the site, I'm curious as to why there is no attention for the New York's newest star? He is not your standard stereotype for a basketball player. He is an Asian-American from Palo Alto with a degree from Harvard. This kid was sleeping on his brother's couch last week and now he is on top of the basketball world.
Recent 3 game stats:
5 rebounds, 7 assists, 2 steals, 25 pts
2 rebounds, 8 assists, 2 steals, 28 pts
4 rebounds, 10 assists, 1 steal, 1 block, 23 pts.
These are Lebron James type of numbers. Is this kid the real deal?

I not blaming Melo but damn it's hard not to. Stacking teams with superstars work when they are superstars at both end of the court. Lebron is arguably the best defender in the game and Wade is the first name that comes to my mind when I think transition defense. Knicks have a lot of good role players. Shumpert, Fields, Jeffries, Novak, and whatshisname but they have to share 48 minutes with a overcrowded team. This sucks balls.

A source told the website it was a "mutual decision" between D'Antoni and the Knicks' front office.

Ask yourself this: would anybody ever say "this player we have is really good, but he just doesn't fit Pat Riley's system"? Hell no. Why? Because Pat Riley will adjust his strategy to the talent that he has. He's not locked into a "system". When Riley came to the Knicks, he didn't have half the talent he had on the showtime Lakers. So what did he do? He built a defensive powerhouse and he had success that way. When your coach can't adapt their style to fit different players, they're a waste of time as a coach.
everyone wants to be top dog on that team, no teamwork = no win
Question is who will be bench? Lin

PS- anyone who thinks "starter" or "bench" matters in the NBA doesn't know a damn thing about basketball. It's not about who starts. It's about minutes. Lin will get his minutes, whether he's starting or not. But you have to find the right package of players for him to play with. If he's not at his best with Melo on the floor, then maybe you try to minimize the minutes they play together. So that could mean he plays 30-35 minutes off the bench, but only 10-15 with Melo on the floor at the same time. You also need to make sure he plays when there's also another quick guard on the court, because he's a TERRIBLE on-the-ball defender. Opposing PGs light him up. That means pairing him with Shumpert makes sense.
