Good to know, thanks. Good to hear about the ergonomics, as the ergonomics of some guns definitely do not agree with me. Specifially talking about the grip angle of the Glocks. XD is slightly better for me, but only slightly.
That last round in many of the "hi-cap" magazines nowadays are quite difficult to load.

Just noticed this cycling the XD, although first thought was that it would ease up after it had been broken in. This thing barely looks used.

FWIW, it now seats fine with no issues. It just needs to get... loosened up.

Me too, it actually make it too easy to buy (I wind up spending too much money) but if you plan on buying multiple guns it's the only way to go. I can go in a store and be out in less than 15 minutes with a rifle, shotgun, or pistol.

Anyone handle the Kahr CW40? I went to the local gun shop today and felt it would be a decent weapon to carry concealed.

They do indeed feel quite nice. Whether they are more or less reliable than other things is a matter of debate I think, though, but it definitely feels and looks good.

If you haven't shot a .40 in a small gun, I'd rent or borrow one or at least read lots of reviews and comparisons first. You might not only not like the recoil, but, even worse, you might not shoot well with it. ymmv.

Just to second this, as it is hugely important. Best bet is to shoot the gun you are considering getting. Barring that, reviews from people who know what they are talking about. Not necessarily the kid with the tactical vest and shooting glasses behind the counter at the gun shop. Keep your eyes open at the range. If you see someone with a gun you are considering, wait for them to finish up then ask them about it. A couple of weeks ago, a guy I saw at the range let me put some rounds through his HK P2000, just because I asked him what he thought about the gun and how it shot. That was enough for me to figure out that it isnt the gun for me. Not enough grip for my taste.
What good is having a gun, if you cant shoot it accurately?
