Did they provide any Promotion Code? I called this number and they said there no promotion available for 54.99. Their current rate is 69.99 for a year. I want to order the magazine and would be great to get a promotion on subscription.

I found you whilst looking for a good renewal rate. In my search, I also found a great rate so I came back to let you know.
At magmall.com you can get two years (94 issues) of the New Yorker for a "regular" price of $55.00. This does not require calling anyone and begging or arm-twisting, mind you. There is also, on urlhasbeenblocked.com, a coupon code for an additional $5.00 off any purchase from the magmall.com site, so the effective rate was then $50.00 for 94 issues. They take credit cards or Paypal, and in the past, I have have no problems at all with subscribing through them. You can order online, or you can call and order by telephone should you prefer.
I hope this saves someone a few dollars and some time and hassle.

Thanks, got the 49.95 deal ckinglam mentioned; none of the other deals that were posted would work for me. It's a great magazine, pricey, but at least I saved $20 (though I only paid $25/year last time!)
