Do you have any tattoos ★★★

1,300 168 July 8, 2012 at 03:14 AM in Chat
I figured I'd start a thread where we post our tattoos. I put NSFW in case people post photos that include naked parts of their bodies.

Like a girl might upload a picture from work and not have time to censor a nipple with ms paint.

As for me, I have just 1. I have a tattoo of a flower on my ass.
How many tattoos do you have

Suits cover a lot--you only know that their hands and faces are tattoo and piercing free. Scratchchin I've known a few people who were pretty well covered in all the places you wouldn't see if they had on a dress shirt, tie, and pants.

If you can't see it, it doesn't exist. I 100% agree with that.

But I think some of the comments here tend to make me believe that they feel it should be accepted if they come in with ear lobe tunnels, eyebrow piercings and tats around their neck.

I know of this woman who was doing a good job, but one day she was bending over and appeared like she was intentionally showing off her lower back art (which was huge). She hasn't really been doing very well once she started to test the limits unfortunately.

Then you need to learn to: read, remember what you posted, and try to keep focused.

I certainly hope so. I think it might have something to do with upbringing too. I have several friends with older kids 18 - 25 and none of them have tattoos yet. But they are more go to college, earn a degree, get a good job and live responsibly type of people as opposed to live for today trailer trash families.

I'm 25 with a Degree in Specialize Chemistry from the University of Illinois C-U, I have a full time job with full benefits. I live a very responsible life and I have 13 piercings and 2 tattoos and I plan on getting more. I've only been at my job 2 years and my boss is already looking to promote me. I don't regret any of my piercings or tattoos and I never will.

So yeah...keep promoting ideas that people with tattoos are trash...we need more stigma in this world.
She was answering your point directly.

I have a CIS degree, graduated with a 4.0 and have my own IT company. And 2 tattoos. I don't know why this would ever change the opinion of a prejudicial moron, but I figure I'll throw it out there.

I'm one year of work experience shy of having my CPA license and I just graduated with a masters degree. But hey, one tattoo makes up my whole character!
I think it does say something about your character, intelligence, or at least your self-worth. I like the bumper sticker on a Ferrari analogy. You don't scribble and stamp things that you value. There is definitely is a correlation with tattoos and the type of people who get them.

I stopped reading at "I'm 25".

I guess my other biggest problem with the mindset that people are "trash" if they have tattoos is thinking that because they're in a manual labor job it makes them less of a human. It doesn't. People should be accepted as they are and for what they can do. I think there should be a lot less emphasis put on appearance and more put on the work you do and how well you do it.

People have said it makes it seem like they don't care about thier bodies, but most people don't actually care about their bodies. How many people exercise properly every day and make sure they have a balanced diet and actually educate themselves as to what that means instead of looking for a quick fix? Look at yourself and what you've done in your life and stop judging others...

Yep. Iagree We've got a guy who works with us that I never would have expected to have all the tattoos he's got. I think he is pretty well covered by them, but I would have never known had he not intentionally showed anybody. He always wears long sleeve shirts. He has some pretty freaking cool tattoos too! woot

Definitely. A friend of mine got a tattoo on her foot. It is very pretty with two ribbons that represent the diseases that her parents had, and their initials on it. Her parents have passed away (I think due to their diseases), and she got the tattoo in memory of them. I think it really does say something about her. Smilie

Like I said, we all have our opinions. I have the ability to hire and fire people where I work (20K plus employees). No one looks like you (except the people who pick up trash and they are contracted) at our company. Coincidence? maybe.
An incredibly large percentage of the people who work in my office have some form of tattoo. Of the people I know personally, it's around 75%.

I know it's a troll thread, but I'll play. I have 1 tattoo. A celtic cross on my left arm. I designed the cross, my friend designed the interior knot work, and I added some finishing touches. It's a mix of my Irish heritage, my Catholic faith, and there is a little bit in there pointing out my time spent with the Byzantine Catholic church. Took me three years to design and be happy with it. It was not a quick cut and dry decision and it took a lot of thought. You can't see it when I'm not wearing a shirt and it hasn't, and wouldn't even affect me getting a job or promotion in the future.

I have a number of other tattoo ideas I've been toying with, but none have really struck me yet as something I need to get. I'll get more in the future, but none right now.

I won't lie.. it's on my list of things I'm considering. laugh out loud Also considering some hands folded in prayer with a rosary, "1 Peter 5:7" written somewhere (my favorite bible verse). I also sort of considered some sort of constellation on a back shoulder, like Orion. But I'm really not sure about that. That kinda popped into my head last night. Not sure exactly how I feel about that.

That sucks.. I couldn't ever tattoo anyone's name/initials on me except for maybe immediate family. Not a wife, gf, mistress, whatever. Just won't happen. Too much risk.

My initials are tattooed on me in code...literally DNA code...if you transcribe and translate my DNA tattoo it's my initials in single letter amino acids...I thought long and hard about that tattoo and I adore it!
