No, what do you like to do in Jefferson?
Jefferson is like a snapshot of the 19th century as the Corps of Engineers goofed and almost overnight Jefferson, which was the largest town in Texas at that time suddenly no longer had a viable river port. They still have all the neat old 19th century buildings in the downtown area and really beautiful Victorian houses too.

It's a great place for shopping for all sorts of neat items in all the stores there, they also have a soda shop for hard to find and discontinued sodas (they make them there) plus it's a great town for antique hunting. It's also very relaxing and so pretty there. You can take a tour on the river (it leaves from downtown) or on Caddo lake (about 15 miles away) you can do a swamp tour or ride the paddle wheeler steam boat.

We used to go there at least a couple of times per year when we lived in the DFW area.
