HP $120 desktop fiasco......

So who got in on the $3000 PC for $120 pricing mistake that happened this past weekend? The orders were cancelled and people rec'd a refund of their $$ on top of a $200 coupon off of the HP store (no minimum purchase)

Love to hear what you all are getting with your free $200 from HP.

I originally tried to use it on three photo frames as xmas gifts but it wouldn't work. Then it wouldn't work on an XBox. Then it wouldn't work on Beats headphones (resale idea) laugh out loud Then it raised the price of the printer $50 since it was on "sale." So I finally said fark it and just bought the bluray as it was nada OOP.

I am asking for a coupon code! Believe it or not there are some giving people out there! I placed and order and never got a code just cancelation email. After waiting 2 days for a reply hp tells me to check my SPAM..duh I already did! Not trying to be greedy just want a code , thought someone might have several codes and willing to share!

Got the 3D wifi bluray player. Kept checking the order status all day yesterday and it still said processing, then got home and there was the package! They sent me my tracking number 3 hours later, LOL!

Well finally got my monitor ordered. Talk about a far from "sincere apology" as their email claimed with jacking the price up by $100 overnight. If you log in with your HPA account though it is back at the prices they had prior to the increase.

I think it was sincere but what happened is people abused their kindness by using the same coupon multiple times. As a result all of their stock was getting depleted so they wouldn't have any stock to sell to their actual paying customers. It's their fault for allowing a one time use coupon to be used multiple times but at the same time people took advantage of them so this is the end result.

Yeah but even though they went out free, you had to plug your CC in there anyways. HP's site says that they reserve the right to charge you for pricing mistakes AND they have your card. Hmm, I would love to see those cheats QQ'ing in this thread when the errors are caught. LMAO

They can't legally place an extra charge on a credit card for pricing mistakes unless the customer agrees. It would be against the law. Once an item gets delivered it's a done deal unless the customer did something deceptive (like knowingly re-using a one time use coupon) and they take the customer to civil court to get the money paid. Realistically it's not worth HPs tiime and effort to do this.

Being a Canadian the code would not work for HP Canada nor could i ship anything to Canada so i sent it to friends below the 49th.

Ordered the 23" $199 monitor last night. They did not need a 23" 1920x1080 monitor but they did need cash to fix a car so hopefully they can sell it for 150+.

HP sent me another coupon code. $10 off any item over $50 just for subscribing to their email newsletter.

* Update * Requested Sat delivery but it showed up today
