forgot to drain gas from snowblower

Realized we put away the snow blower last season without running down the gas or adding fuel stabilizer to the fuel. Not sure what I was thinking! In any case, should I try to drain the gas from the tank without starting, or maybe add some stabilizer to the tank now and start? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Possibly I'm worrying for nothing.

Ahh, then you also have to dispose of it.

I left gas in the snowblower for the first time last fall, and when I tried starting it there wasn't even a cough.

Cleaned out the hole in the carb jet needle and it started and ran better than last year!

Used a single strand of wire from some lamp cord to clean out that tad of crud. It's amazing that that tiny hole can affect how it works so much

I know the ethanol is worse, but non-ethanol still gets pretty funky when it's old. Ethanol free is at every station around me, at least any that I've paid attention to. I heard ethanol was harder on older equipment, rubber/seals not made to tolerate it as well. I get it delivered in bulk by truck, for off road/ag use you get the tax back. Not using as much as I once did, diesel/newer tractors are soooo much easier to deal with, sometimes it gets a little stale in the tank, but it's never bothered.

Decided to give it a try at starting today after I ran across a bottle of the two cycle I used last season and noticed it had a fuel stabilizer included in the homelite oil. The snow blower started up after couple easy pulls.
