This thread is being created so people -- generally, those people who can't seem to resist talking about off-topic junk in the Target coupon thread -- have a place to talk about shopping at Target and other miscellaneous matters.

All you folks who hang out in the Target coupon thread, start hanging out here instead! When you've got something relevant to post about Target coupons, please post about it in the Target coupon thread! We'd love to hear about it, but NOT about your dog, your cat, your mom, your genital herpes, your... well, you get the idea.

Hey ladies, I was triing super hard to stop being tied to my computer. It helped that during the summer I only went shopping once a week, and then school started and I am just not home.

Okay, so I have a friend who just had baby 6, and they had a major decrease in finances at the same time, so I am triing to help her out. We have been making homemade laundry soap and it works well for her, but I have a $3 Surf coupon and a $2.50 Biz coupon, what is my best place to use these, oh and she needs HE can I get HE in those brands? Personally I use All free and clear and have about 10 bottles but no HE.

Thrifty, was it you that was looking for the monkey stuff for LJ?

While at T yesterday, I noticed a bunch of stuff in the bath section - like for kids bathrooms. Anyway, it was monkey themed - they had hooded towels and everything. It was cute. I'm kicking myself for not taking a pic....

Teri-- hope your health problems work themselves out. At least that's good news about your heart. Smilie

That is a nice peelie! Can you share what DVDs you found it on?

I found some of the Glade $3 blinkies. They have an extra 9 in front of the 46500... I can't remember how those worked at T. For some reason, I thought that didn't affect their beepfreeness... not sure
Haven't used that one but used several different extra "9" q at T in the past w/no beeps.

Quote from drozee78 :
evening ladies. i had such a great day today. :w oot: i only got to go to one t. I originally thought i would just have to make a VERY small run because this target, which is the one that is closest to my home, has this one GSTL that is an avid reader and really hates seeing anyone get a deal. this used to really make me mad because there were some awesome jedi cashiers at this T. Well i haven't seen this particular GSTL in about 3 weeks and "casually" asked another LOD i know there where the GSTL had been. I found out that she has been transferred to a different T FAR AWAY

i then decided to do a slightly larger order when I noticed that one of my favorite jedi's was on. as i am at the register the LOD comes over with a new employee which she asks my jedi to train. heart She then proceeds to explain to him when one of my coupons beeped the "automatic use of the magic K1" and also stated about a coupon when they beep like that just check to see if they have almost they same thing. Jawdrop

Oh what a night! it was almost magical watching the birth of a jedi.
Whee Awesome!!! I am contemplating another run today. I wish we had next week's ad; I'm trying to decide between today and tomorrow.

I haven't been to my Super T for 2 weeks! I have these 2 coupons that I have no use for. They are both size 16 which is too big for me, although I gained 50 pounds during my pregnancy. I would like to trade them.

. . .

ETA: I forgot to mention that I got 3 Whole Foods store coupons at the check-out register tonight. You will have to buy something there in order to get the coupons.
Free gallon milk (365 Everyday Value, save $2.49) valid from 9/30/09 to 10/06/09
Free 8-pack Parkerhouse Rolls wyb a quart of soup from our Prepared Foods pre-pack case (save $2.99) valid from 10/7 to 10/13/09.
Free Carving Pumpkin (save over $4) valid from 10/14 to 10/20/09

All those coupons are valid only at Whole Foods in AL, GA, NC, SC, and TN (just like the free rotisserie q last time).
Rofl2 and those are some great Qs from Whole Foods. I actually went to our local Whole Foods this week for the first time since they switched from Wild Oats. They had organic apples and pears on sale for $.99/lb. I'm trying to mostly make my own baby food (for the baby, not me laugh out loud) so stocked up. I couldn't believe it when the girl told me my bill was $17. EEK! But that was right. I actually bought 17 lbs. of fruit.

That Earth's Best TQ has certainly helped out though-- got a nice little stockpile of organic baby food for the days I don't get to it.

Also using my friends kitchen to make 250 cookies that are due for Tues. (good thing it's for my sister in law and she doesn't care that I'm not doing it in my shop!!) Doing the baking at night. This is going to be one long weekend!!
OMG, that's a lot of cookies!! (Now I want to make cookies. Sadwalk)

I'm not sure about deals, but I know you can use regular detergent in HE machines; you just use a lot less of it. (That's what we do.)

This may be TMI but w/ all the mommies here, I thought i'd ask.

Has anyone taken Reglan to stimulate milk production? I have a very thirsty baby and can't seem to get ahead. I have taken Fenugreek before but was wondering which was better for quick results. Thanks!

You know, I didn't even think of that issue.
I normally shop while I'm in town (ie, work days), but I made a STC run to Publix today, thanks to some special Qs that eFelicity sent me. I heart the 30 cents a bag Tyson chicken patties with the Food Lion Q that works like a charm. Freezer is stuffed to the gills though. I've got two new kitty litter bottles atop the chest freezer, just to keep the lid closed.

Since Target is clearancing some summer things, do they have extra large coolers that are on wheels and have a way to pull them? SIL has mentioned this for her Kroger triples runs with Harris Teeter Triples (or Super Doubles). I have to get started on Christmas sometime.

BB-yeah that's me with my little baby Curious Jorge Teehee All 3 of my sisters sent him outfits with monkeys. This poor kid! I think I've seen the bath line it is cute!

Gator-I read up on foods that increase breastmilk and oatmeal and green leafy veggies. I was eating some granola for breakfast about 2 weeks ago and noticed a difference within 24 to 48 hours. We went to Souplantation the other night and I had a huge plate of salad (romaine and red leaf lettuce) and felt engorged by morning.

I have not tried Reglan, sorry!

DW is a lactation consultant and the BF'ing mom of three (one current). She sez sprouts, tuna, carrots for dietary stimulants; her recommendation, though, is to pump frequently. If it's really a problem/concern, you can rent a hospital grade pump and that should really help.

HTH!

I know, right! Woohoo.

Gator~ I second everything Thrifty said. If you don't like oatmeal, try oatmeal raisin cookies.
